When you’re using both mics, invert the polarity on one of them since they’re facing opposite directions. You’ll unlock the bottom end when mixed together
Thanks for your video. Is this cajon (Meinl) best for deep bass. Can this produce Different variation of bass. I am planing to buy one. I dont want same kind of bass. I want variation of bass. Any recommendation to buy a good Cajon.
Yes, definitely. This has a great deep bass tone and of course some more bass frequencies depending where you are hitting. My favorite cajon with more bass tone is the Meinl cantina line. You can see this cajon in a lot of my videos here on the channel. The link to buy it is in the description as well.
Hey man, do you know what the black string with the bells are for in the 2in1 model’s snare system? @6:19 I can’t figure out if it adds anything to the sound/if I’m using it right on my cajon 😂
I've had a 2in1 cajon and the little bells are just a little detail with a very subtle sound that you can notice more when you play in places that have more natural reverb like churches etc. I'm saying that because I've played a concert once in a church and remember the sound. ;)
Hi Felipe. I decided to upgrade my cheap starter cajon so on the strength on this video I ordered one these. It was delivered today and I must say I am really pleased with it. Thanks for pointing me in this direction.
Hate to be that guy, but: When in the segment about the Tapa he says „it‘s natural for the water to flow down, so the veins of the wood grain need to point down“, I‘m pretty sure the wood veins are pumping water *upwards* inside the tree…
🪘The $1,200 Martinete model has a slightly more clear & refined snare sound. Also, its bass sound is lower and ever so slightly more punchy. The Martinete's high note(snare drum) sound is also _maybe_ slightly preferable. But I think the $200 Tango is 80% as good all around as the much more expensive Martinete model.
Yes, they make very good solid wood cajons as well. Check my review of the solid wood EVO cajon - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xvVp47G4J5Y.html
I had to return 3 of these back to Sweetwater as twice the top left pad stopped responding and once that the number display sank in. I think there are quality control issues with this product that Meinl needs to address
