It is a ratio of the final volume to the initial volume In this case, 1 ml is diluted to 100ml So, the dilution will be 100/1 So the Df will be 100 Concentration factor is the reciprocal of dilution factor
As per is code 4031:11 use liquid of sp. Gr less than 0.731 which is kerosene sometimes diese is also used. But visibility of kerosene is more clear thats why. Pls refer IS code for more detailed info. Thank you.
