Your tutorials are a Godsend for newcomers to Casio Gshock users like myself. So so so so useful and easy to follow. Thanks for taking your time to explain ALL aspects of this watch, very grateful i found this!!
This is exactly the ONLY addition I wanted on my running watch beyond chrono: just want to be able to check that I'm in the zone when on my exercise bike or in between intervals when running.
The inability to stop the step tracking makes the step tracking utterly worthless because it counts nearly 5000 phantom steps while I'm driving a truck at work.
You need the Instinct 1 vs. the 2. On the original Instinct you can turn off activity tracking. I wish they would have kept that capability on the Instinct 2.
this particular casio needs this option activated because of the tiny button for the light, other casios have a much easier to press big button in the front. Thanks, great tip!
Hi thanks for sharing. I have a suunto core black and enjoy the watch. I dont use the altimeter but use the barometer for fishing. My understanding is the watch will always measure absolute air pressure. However to obtain the pressure for your location you must programe the spot height. What I think happens howeve ia thats fine when your in the same spot but as tou travel around, driving whatever and rhe height changes the barometer read out will be off because the watch still thinks ita at the previous height? This causes changes in preasure which set the atorm alarm off. Do you agree with this or have I misunderstood perhaps? To use the altimeter you must tell the watch the local atmospheric preasure and spot height. I think the watch can be used in dual mode ?
I can't thank you enough for taking the time to make these videos. My children got me the 2x and I was having a very difficult time trying to figure it out. You truly make it capable for to use this amazing watch ⌚. Thank you again. God-bless
Wow man, thanks! That's works also on a GW-9400 Rangeman. But the main problem is I don't know if default measures are de facto true or not, 'cause my phone's sensor and online maps show ~370 meters while my watch is showing ~330. So I don't know where is the truth
thanks had a new battery put in and annoyingly it was set to chime hourly turned off based on you short video. my watch is the iron man triathlon different to the one in your video hope this helps others
It actually show you with the RC indicator if it get the signal last time it tried. If signal is there on main screen it means it successfully get sigznl last time it tried.
Is there way to look back and see what battery precentage you had left AFTER an activity ?? Ive a 100k coming up. Im just not sure if the battery will last. I did 63km a few months ago, the battery lasted but not sure how much i had left. The 100km race will take about 15- 16hrs. Would it last that long on the 955???
Not sure if you have the solar or non solar version. With regular GPS in an activity the solar will give you 49 hours (42 with the non solar) battery life. So you should be perfectly fine. If you are worried about it you can change your GPS to Ultra Trac which uses less data (but does not record the GPS coordinates as often). . . that will get you 110 hours (80 with the non solar). If it were me, I would have it fully charged, leave it on regular GPS. What you are doing is exactly what this watch is designed for. Good luck with your 100K, hope this helps.
I followed your directions but it did not work as in the video. After hitting go, the map did not appear, just the word navigate. It does have a green check mark at top next to "GPS." If I hit start, a timer appeared but no way to navigate, as such.
You do not say how to actually exit an activity. I am in "walk" and now cannot get out of it. Others have reported this problem as well. Pressing bottom right does not exit it, whether I hold or do a quick press.
I’m new to the watch , if I turn on the battery save , it appears to turn off my standard watch face , my question is , if I have the solar battery save on , does it turn off my watch face ?
I don't have a video for this on the 7X, but here is the same thing on the Instinct (the settings are pretty much the same). You have a watch face setting under battery saver that you can change so that you keep your regular watch face when in battery saver - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fL3QWIXURPY.html
question. i just received the same watch new. I cannot tell if there is a plastic protector over the screen. I tried picking lightly the corners with my finger tip but to no avail. The first step in the Quick Guide shows to remove a screen protector? Any insight in this is appreciated. Love your videos on the watch. Thank you.
Question: Will the watch stay in world time mode? Like will the watch display both world and home times all the time? Or do I have to press the mode button several times to return to world time mode?
It will eventually kick you out of world time mode and put you back in regular home city time mode. However if you are in the World Time mode and press and hold the top left button for 3 seconds it will swap your home city and world city. . . .that way in regular time mode you will be looking at the world city (in in world city you will be looking at your home city time). . . . then when you want to swap them back you just do the same thing. Great for people who travel somewhere for a time. . . then come back home. Hope that helps!
