Yea. It's all fun and dandy until you hit that pole. Then you hate yourself, and ask, why do I do those things. Such a Great little Wing. Imagine a 4 foot Ultrix with Steerable landing gear. They wouldn't ba able to make em fast enough to keep up with orders. Something I haven't seen you do yet, on windy day's, get a little altitude, point it into the wind, put it into SAFE, hold Full elevator, then drop it straight down into a Vertical Harrier landing landing. The SAFE keeps it from bouncing around in the wind. No SAFE needed in low wind. Great video again Brother.
Lost, is the man who has never flown the 600mm Ultrix. Such a versatile airplane. LOVES the wind. If E Flite made an 1100mm version with steerable landing gear, they couldn't build em fast enough to keep up with the orders. Great video Buddy.
Great video. I got my second one for conditions just like this. Destroyed the first one out of stupidity. The Ultrix comes alive in the wind. I can't imagine any RC Pilot NOT having one of these in his collection.
Once again, fantastic design. Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to copy your design and make one for myself. Approximately how far back from the front is the C/G. This is the Perfect Park Flyer. Or on windy / rainy day's, the perfect bathroom flyer.
2017 early in the morning I stop there and prayed and thank Jesus for all he did on that Cross 2000 years ago for me. That was the best day of my life! I called out I believe in you Jesus! 1 Corinthians 1-4 Thank you Jesus! ❤
I drove to Mason, TX from San Antonio after watching the NWS sky cover forecast dozens of times per day leading up to the eclipse as well as live satellite photos and multiple short range computer models for cloud cover. My family and I ended up at Heritage Park near M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library with several hundred other people. Besides the thinnest high level cloud cover there were no low clouds during totality and it was perfect! I saw the 2017 eclipse in Idaho alone and brought my whole family to see this one. 3 minutes and 40-something seconds of totality was so awesome! I'd love to visit Spain for the 2026 eclipse but the eclipse of 2045 is in my neck of the woods (Utah) and will be around 6 minutes of totality.
At the end of this video, there are photos and measurements. That's the closest thing I have to plans. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2sY8xjIjq3I.html
www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5284085&postcount=47 I changed the dihedral on the two wings to look more like full scale biplanes (less dihedral on the top wing), and gave the bottom wing more incidence. I also lengthened the nose and am using smaller motor (20g). Have fun!
@@sr71afan ufff... I designed and fabricated it about 15 years ago (also using my own cnc cutter). I seem to remember that the solidWorks files are on a backup disk somewhere. If you are interested I could try to rescue them.
