This is the home of San Francisco based DJ and musician The Barbary Ghost. As well as their musical projects, the dark Victorian proggy steamwave band "Vernian Process". And the Italo-Horror inspired New Wave/Disco/Prog/Synth band "Profondo Delle Tenebre".
This is not that obscure. Maybe somewhat forgotten since the Classix Nouveaux' heyday, but at the time it was widely played on radio and discos all over Europe.
@@thebarbaryghostsf, thanks for posting the video and replying to my comment. 😊 I don't mean to be a troll, but you did say it was obscure in the description, or at least that's what I think people will generally infer from the sentence sequence: "Just experimenting with doing some audio remasters of obscure 80's videos. Couldn't find an upscaled version of the video, but I did touch up the color and sharpness a little bit." This said, I would love to see more of these Classix Nouveaux videos, especially live appearances, that need a huge uplift. ☺️
@@thebarbaryghostsf Of course! Ever since you uploaded this, it's been my go-to version. It just sounded the best out of anything I had heard, and it still sounds pretty great. Love the drum texture and everything.
I just watched that crazy ass film… what a trip! The music made the film for me. I’m so happy someone decided to make this song into an extended remix!
you can grab a brand new version of it on our Bandcamp page for my project "Profondo Delle Tenebre. It's a bonus track on our last album The Expedition. I also uploaded a new MV for it on this channel last year!
When i watched this as a very lil kid when it first came out I couldn't figure out why the old man was saying he was "Atreyu the child". Now watching it as an adult, Atreyu is a lil kid! 😂
Celebrating my birthday today by going back into my kidhood and looking for music and films that were a part of my life. I ran into this and what can I say?.....PERFECT!!! What a great birthday gift....LOL. Just realized what I was typing. now I can say it................. My Precious. My Birthdays present. LMAO!
ALTHOUGH CONSCIOUS OF THEIR IMPENDING DOOM, AT THIS POINT, BOTH COMBATANTS FEEL THEY HAVE NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE... AFTER YEARS OF EXCHANGING INGULTS AND VOWS OF PERSONAL DESTRUCTION, ALL IS SAID AND DONE, THE ONLY RECOURSE IS… (Sonic issue 50)
"It is the year 3235 on the planet Mobius and the war being fought upon it's surfaced land has reached it's eleventh year. A war that has began another had just concluded. A war that had its origins from the of betrayal within. Warlord Julian had seized the the power and authority of The House of Acorn, and exiled the king to the zone of silence. Upon which Julian became Robotnik and began a systematic conquest of the now named Robotropolis and all of its inhabitants. It is now the eve of what may prove to be the final battle between the successors of the House of Acorn and its usurper. A battle full of heroes and villians. winners and losers. Thoses that survive and those who have fallen."
I still need to get myself a Switch, but it's in my plans. I do love however that Nobuo Uematsu has gone on record stating that this song influenced most of the Airship themes in the Final Fantasy games he worked on,. You can really hear it in The Highwind Takes Flight from FF7,
Most impressive. It frustrates me every day that this series languishes unused in the gaming space, but the animations have sated my thirst, as does the occasional work like this popping up in my feeds. Quite the rare drop.
