Honestly I still don’t understand why Valorant china had to be a totally different thing. Like why don’t they just add a server for the Asia region in china, it’s like they have a totally different game.
If it did ....it would violate international laws across many countries which believe china steals data for malicious use. Many countries have banned chinese applications for same reasons so thats my guess
think about the flood lol, valorant was becoming really popular, and china has population near 1.5 billion... everywhere would be chinese people, how would asians who dont speak chinese comm? at least in csgo i can still talk since i speak chinese(im bilingual), but in valorant basically nobody is chinese, if there were a sudden influx to the same asian servers then nobody would be able to understand each other. Although they couldve just made a completely new region of servers for china, but at that point redesigning the game slightly to appeal to china fanbase more isnt much different and makes sense from a corporate standpoint ykwim
Its because they are run by different people, the global is mostly ran by riot while the chinese version is ran mostly by tencent or other chinese companies
