it depends on what you are looking for- they offer a 2-year classical training in Shakespeare and you might want to see if this is something you want to develop at this point of your career
No- and i believe the industry has changed given social media and self submission are getting increasingly popular. But there are certain drama schools that agents look at to consider taking you on.
saw you from reddit and this was such a useful video as someone who’s applying for the first time after highschool! just wanted to ask do i have to learn and record a different monologue for every drama school or can i use the same one?
Hey there! I didn’t use a different monologue for every drama school because I was quite certain that I would feel burnt out. The downside of this approach is that the material can be easily over-rehearsed when you felt ‘stuck’ on the piece. I would say have some options - maybe find 2 classical and 2 contemporary. So you can be playful while keeping things controlled. I will be filming more stuff in the future - let me know if there is content that helps xx
@@jo.anne.leung. thank you so much for your help i was worried that i’d have to use different monologues each time because i’d definitely be burnt out too. so if the auditions are by video again can i just use the same videos and sent it to different drama schools?
