@13:59 The haze and smog this year was mostly due to nationwide wildfires. Basically, this year there was no winter rain at all. Come spring, the dried forests all across the nation, irrespective of altitude went ablaze. The wild fire radar at a point of time painted the entire country red... So many occurences. And now, there is unprecedented and never before seen amount of record monsoon rain leading to natural calamities in an already fragile geology.
What an incredible video. The cinematography was excellent of villages, people, way of life, info, and scenery. You put in super human effort capturing trekking in forests! Thank You.
Congratulations. Having done EBC and AC and ABC and other few shorter treks, this one is next on the list. However I get scared by narrow 1-2 feet paths with steep falls. Having seen many videos, seems these are at 1-2 places in the first 2-3 days of the trek. Seeing this video, seems the path was 3 feet or wider in all the places. I did see a narrow landslide area shown from a distance. Did you have to traverse it? any such 1-2 feet narrow scary paths in your trek? Thx
Fantastic Video Warren. Very well put together, and beautiful storytelling. Thank you for sharing your adventure. If I could ask you a question... what camera did you film your trip with?
What an incredible video! The views look absolutely breathtaking. Your footage captures the majestic beauty of the region and the people and their culture which is truly inspiring. It has been a couple of years since my last trek, now can't wait for the next one. Thanks for sharing this amazing adventure!
So proud of you guise! Y'all pushed thru and made it. Love the little bits of highlights at the end of the day. The sight of the grand snowcapped peak was Mad awesome in video and I cannot imagine being there. I might be crying tears of joy AND pain. Hahahaha Mad night and day transition @ 5:32! (Or was it 5:22?) I wish there was bits of narration in the video cause I just wanna know the awesome inside info from conversations y'all had w the locals. Hehe. Like the national flower. Never knew that. Also Jill and the lady tryna converse the number eight 😂 too cute! Lastly, how did y'all make that donkey walk thru the door just like that! 🤯
Thanks Farah it really was an amazing trip! wish we could have included more, but we would end up with a 5hr video. The donkey kept sneaking in and getting chased out, so we kinda knew he would be coming through again at some point :)
Awesome video, I did Groot Winterhoek in December 2021 and it was unbearably hot, so much so that when we hiked back to the car park we left at sunset and walked through the night. Booked to do this hike again in April 2023. What month did you do this cold wet hike?
Thanks for the video. I'm struggling with the same issue. Under f/1.8 there's magenta color shift indoor or outdoor. (so not a flicker issue) I thought that I had a bad adapter, so I bought another one, but it behaves the same. Did you find a solution or workaround?
thanks for replying. Strong magenta tint appears as it gets wide open on all of my 3 Rokinon lenses. I'm thinking to ask Metabones to change it to a new one if it's not how it's supposed to be.
Great place to hike and camp. But, man, you guys pack in more stuff than some people own in a lifetime. The trick is to minimize not maximize and lug things around like a bloody pack-ass
