I’m just a casual gamer. My favorite games are Tekken , Diablo and Monster Hunter.
Tekken : My mains are Anna , Zafina and Katarina. Diablo : My main classes are rogue and sorceress. Monster Hunter : My main weapons are insect glaive and lance.
There’s a case to be made for both guard dash and shield tackle. Guard dash lets you dodge in any direction while maintaining the direction you’re facing, allowing you to retreat with it while still blocking incoming attacks, and it lets you choose to either shield attack or leaping thrust after dashing, which is great for scripting KOs and using the insane dps that leaping thrust offers. On the other hand, shield tackle moves less far but takes less time, does damage during the dash, and goes straight back into the triple poke combo, at the cost of not being able to go backwards while still blocking towards the monster and not letting you use leaping thrust. It also has counter particles for sone reason. Overall, shield tackle is a more consistent offensive option that lets you maintain a very stable amount of pressure with the standard combo at the cost of not being able to retreat easily, while guard dash has more utility and higher dps with leaping thrust at the cost of higher commitment to the attack and more time spent dashing. I personally prefer guard dash in most cases, but shield tackle definitely has its place, especially on raw builds.
Here's the problem with that type of case the steam deck will take the most damage if it falls diagonally and hits where the bumpers are at. On cases like this that is the only place that it is not protected so it's kind of a waste to me.
@@onizaki3129 how do you do Backward Guard Dash? I've tried it and instead it Guard Dash'ed into the back (to the camera instead of looking like leaping backwards while Guard Dash-ing)
@@ShatteredGlass916 press down + R2 + O to do backward guard dash then press X for backstep(down + X for further backstep) or press left or right + X to step to the position that you want then press up + R2 + O for guard dash again.
Nice vid! Think you’ll post your build? I was making a few builds to try different things out. They’re probably fine I just need to play more defensively like you. I had about 500 hrs in rise, and maybe 200 in sunbreak. It’s crazy how differently you have to play in sunbreak than in rise. Some play styles for weapons are completely not viable anymore
