Yep, there are much better videos out there. Go there instead, it’s no problem. All these videos were recorded mid-pandemic lockdown and making them helped immensely with my own personal mental health, so I’m happy with what these are/were and have no aims to make a career out of them or anything!

Easy to try: put a capo on the second fret and you have a medium. On the fourth you get a short. Btw don’t forget to tune down the bass into E on each step😂.
I really liked the way you did this demo. By just twisting the knobs to different position with the same track running, we can hear what the pedal can do without any kind of bias or needing to hear an opinion from the presenter at every different setting. Very nice work.
Well, I wouldn’t really use either specifically as a distortion pedal. The circuit just emphasises the filter sweep more. The Russian tends to have a little more bottom end, so works a bit better on bass. However, for a fraction of the cost, the Mooer is pretty close behind.
I'm glad to see that others are open to using the thumb in playing bass... I am a new bass player, just bought a bass a few weeks ago, and to me the two-finger style seemed awkward. Maybe it could be because I've been playing fingerstyle guitar for decades? My thumb and fingers have a ton of experience picking out complex tunes on a six-string guitar, so it seemed natural to transfer that to the bass, and it seems to work well.
Man that walking line in the beginning just jarred a memory.🙂 I was taught bass when I was in highschool back in 2001 by this the cool ol’timer named Don. The bass line in the beginning was the first thing he taught me to get my hand loosened up and used to using my pinky. Along with major and minor scales. He liked the beetles. I didn’t have an appreciation for them until Don showed my the bass lines for ob-la-Di ob-la-da and Day Tripper. He would play these walking bass lines over top music that would fit perfect and add flair to a simple 4 note song. He introduced me to flat wound strings. 😌 that takes me back. I only went for a few lessons, but being a teenager and not realizing the goldmine of opportunity I had stumble on. I played off and on learning Metallica, Tool, R.A.T.M, and system of a Down songs. Jammed out with a few friends. Played of Coffee House Show with one band playing 2 Metallica covers and 1 original song. Good times. I haven’t played bass since 2008 or 2009🤔 Most of the songs and lessons I learned I can’t remember. Took out my 4 string last week time to start again.
Hello why do you have a Sadowky preamp and using the Aguilar as your out.I do understand the Aguilar has the DI.So are you using the Sadowsky for your tone .And using the Aguilar as a DI
Not sure why this doesn’t have more views. Very cool to see. Have you ever tried a Sansamp GT2? It emulates a Marshall as well. I wonder if it can get similar tones to this pedal? I recently got one for Justin Chancellor tones but am also enjoying it for some Timmy C tones as well.
