Hello there, Here at Video Game Music Evolution I'm going to give you a visual guide on how music tracks from games have changed throughout the years. This channel is purely for educationial and archival purposes, I do NOT monetize these videos. Hope you enjoy it!!
I played Metroid Zero mission couple nights ago, and hearing this theme through the gameplay makes it so much more exciting to play. Sounds great on both GBA and Nintendo Switch. I don't know man, it's a tie with super smash bros and zero mission. I can't pick one over the other, they're too good Edit: Super Smash Bros. because I changed my mind
Whenever I think about this song it's always the torvus bog version. That's the version that sticks with me the most. However the dread version is also incredibly good
For me, it’s between Samus Returns and Prime 2. Super Metroid set the foundation and dread doesn’t hit the mark for me. But IMO, dread’s soundtrack is very fitting for the game. I think the criticism is unneeded
I love the Smash Bros. Version. In all the other games, the theme represents the story of Samus Aran, the calm before the storm of every game. In Brawl, its a theme of absolute empowerment as Samus gets her suit back, and is ready to kick some serious ass.
Samus returns ver definitely wins when it comes to exploring a new area but the rest are just pure fucking magic specially Dreads and of couse supers where it originated from
Every remix is something "new and fresh" but loses it's overall essence of the original. How many times can you make a copy of the first copy and recognize the original? Modernity is the attemp to capitalize on quality but only craps quantity.
How many times can they remix and reuse the same music? The Answer is "As many times as they please because returning players don't know when to quit going".
Prime one fav of all times. This is the first time seeing samus in 3D and they pur thar choir and that sequence of here jumping off the ship. I mean come on.
Metroid will always be one of my favorite Sci Fi universes. I think Metroid handles the idea of "mysterious and hostile alien environment" the best. It has you scanning this unfamiliar planet and its occupants to better adjust and prepare for the threats. All the while even the environment is filled with hazards and mysteries. Grow to comfortable in the unknown and it could lead to death. The music conveys this feeling in themes like this. Mysterious, dangerous, and alien.
I've been searching (for about 3 hours now) for the version that had an epic beat drop and it seems I imagined it cause none of them have it apparently. RIP to for not saving the video I heard it on.
There is another theme that plays from when you walk into her villa in BW2 and see her to when you accept or deny her battle request. It's really epic and might be what you're thinking off. I don't think it's in this video
@@SoMuchNope Oh I ended up finding it from a tik tok video apparently it was a remix of her theme but essentially it's starts with the here kinda lobby theme in the room so the piano then a beat drop and goes into the remix which is a really nice one too.
it's almost like hearing doom's music from the classics to eternal which is where it's referenced from, for Metroid, the theme I'm hearing right now is too a reference
I listen to the dread variant to go to sleep. It's just so peaceful and relaxing...and I love it! It's super iconic, I'm glad it's been represented many times in the series.
Really says something about this track that everyone’s favorite is different. My favorite is personally Dread, but I’ve seen people who favor Super Metroid, Echoes, and Returns.
I think the encounter theme is just as much a part of the image we have of Cynthia, I often can't go listen to one without going on to listen to the other 😂
