Hi im learning poppy atm. I often dont know what to build. Im worried that full tank I might lack damage and am tempted to build sundered sky and eclipse but maybe its not even that good. Perhaps sunfire dmg is already enough? Im always confused. I struggle to play her perfectly especially after laning phase I fall off even with a lead. It also feels as if i cant 1v9 on poppy. Maybe its the champ or my lack of skill. I usually main garen, illaoi, mundo.
@@HyeonsikLi sundered is okay if you feel you really need damage to carry but sunfire is usually enough. She’s not really a 1v9 champ but you are so hard to kill and can peel your back line so well it can make up for it (it is not a great poopy meta tho). Shield bash is really only good if you are going fimbul winter which I go every game now
@@Relise_lol what makes it not a poppy meta atm? I started practising her more bc I saw that shes been on a consistently high WR for months now, if not over a year or longer. I feel like poppy has way more skill expression than ppl realize. I saw gameplay of the best poppy players and they play so different to me or a normal poppy. Maybe that comes over time? What do you build if your team lacks dmg? E.g. tank jgl, tank supp.
@@HyeonsikLi She just sucks vs range and movement speed generally and there is way less dash champions being played currently. They also forced her into fimbul but she doesn't like hp as much as most tanks since she only has armor/mr scaling. Adc items are pretty broken and finally getting nerfed but adcs get ms in their first + second item and ldr is super cheap and gives a lot of pen, finally every jungle is a ranged ap burn champ and it's rough. Liandry is beyond broken. Poppy takes a lot of positioning skill and she's not intuitive at all. Most people that just like Poppy have swapped to support since she takes almost no skill down there but in top she's pretty hard. You just gotta watch and copy people (I copied Gemi a lot) I generally only go tank but you can go sundered>fimbul instead of sunfire or cleaver vs stuff like malphite/ksante
its interesting to see how different you play poppy top to how i play her. honestly some things i didn't think of while some things i feel are better but i think this is good for me to watch as i can see poppy from someone else's perspective
@@Relise_lol I dont use overgrowth or demolish i use shield bash and and revitalize and while i do use manaflow band i dont use scorch i use celerity. additionally ive started building sundered sky instead of bami's/sunfire start. though bami's to me personally is a very comfortable start in my eyes but i found ive been able to punish harder when going for sundered sky first though im still a little squish but thats why i orient pretty hard toward short trades and my buckler. this is just a few things i saw. By no means am i better i believe because im not even gold but Poppy is the only champ im good at honestly so ill keep watching and see what i pick up or think through.
@@oathangel535 celerity doesn’t make much sense unless you are jg you can go transcendence tho. Shieldbash revitalize is fine if you going extra shielding and healing items. Sunderer sky is good item I just personally play tank so I rarely go a bruiser item unless I’m fed
@@Relise_lol Yea, normally i play Jg so that's where celerity came from so transcendence makes more sense and ill start using that or scorch. thankyou for talking w/ me, ill keep watching. and maybe we can play together if i ever reach masters.
