So sorry I missed the jam, I am sure it was a blast for sure. Powers Shop is the best BMX shop I have ever been to all across this country. Chad always has time to talk and some of the best advise and customer service.
I started working at a Yamaha shop 1972 at 13 and then a Honda shop and raced motocross turned expert but BMX wasn't big yet and the motocross greats were my hero's. I saw Chads shop museum and wasn't sure if it was hording or a, museum or a bike shop. Thats a big building with lots of overhead. I like Chads wagon and track, and he must be still single. I like the Mercedes diesel wagons more. Please put a one paragraph bio of who you are and what your plan is would be helpful for people just tuning in that maybe want to contribute. but overall, very impressed.
Dam I'm lost for words what a cool collection. If I have a question 🤔 about my Og part's some in the box and og Hoffman tags on a set of Fat Free bars. How can I put a price on my old school bmx part's. I definitely don't want to pass with them
I didn’t realize how special those bikes were and considered them “entry level” when I first saw them. In the mid 90s, I did some volunteer work aka community service at Waterford Oaks BMX track, and a few times a week kids from the day camps would come and ride the track on the loaner bikes that we had at the track. The loaner bikes were All Patterson Racing bikes with the exception of a couple of Dyno VFRs. There was about 25 bikes total and one evening the storage shed got broken into and they all got cleaned out… I’ve kept my eyes open for years and nothing has ever surfaced yet. I suspect scrap metal dorks took them because they took a whole bunch of random shit as well.
I remember when kink came to Richmond at 929 back in 06-07ish. I'm sure you guys have the articles in RIDE BMX w rob Tibbs and the natty quarters at the police station. Takes me way back. Powers 2024!!!!
I would love to see that Diamond Back that was in the swamp. I lived in West Jordan Utah. My mom and dad didn’t have much and they bought that bike for me for my birthday. I had it for a week and someone stole it out of my garage. Someday I would love to have that on my wall in my gun room. A friend of mine had the GT performer. I wish your shop was in my neck of the woods.
One of the coolest Kats ive ever met rite there!!! Has helped me a lot when i come into shop!!! Made me feel like part of the family from day 1, thanks danny
