Comparing sound effects in detail, I don't get how the Gamecube version sounds just like the PS1 and PC ports, while this one sounds more like the Saturn, yet not quite. The buster's charging sound is pitched down like on the Saturn port, yet while the cursor sound in the menu is pitched up, it isn't as much as on the Saturn. If going from the principle that the PS1 and PC versions are the one that sound as intended, which to me is the most likely, then this PS2 port is kind of weird.

I'm old enough to remember when this game and Sega Dreamcast came out. The graphics were, in my opinion, unquestionably the best graphics ever in a football game. You could literally zoom up on a players face and the graphics matched that of what the guy actually looked like in reality. That was extremely rare those days

This game I played to death. The presentation of this game is far superior to any madden game. The menu and loading screen music, a simple riff that gets you hyped up in the game. No lame soundtracks. Even the loading screen was just awesome.
