Hello RU-vid! This channel may be for you if you are someone who likes to do DIY projects, repairs, and learning new ideas. Here, I share some of my how-to's and various projects that I have built so that I can give y'all an idea of something to build that can make your life easier. From time to time there will be fishing videos that I post as well. To me, it seems like there is always something that needs fixing. If you have an idea of something I can make a video about, be sure to leave me a comment on one of my videos. I will try to help any way I can. As always, thanks for watching my content and I hope my videos can give you some inspiration to try anything for yourself.
Bought one in 2017, 3cylinder fuel injected, 4 stroke!! Tiller handle. I bought the manual start version. If I could do it over again I’d get electric start. Power trim. I love the motor! I have it on a 15/52 jonboat. It’ll push it 24 mph with my wife and I in it.
I had similar issue, saw would gradually not respond well to throttle acting as if it were running out of fuel, then die. It would restart and run fine for a short while then do this again. It turned out that the sintered brass filter for the fuel tank vent was nearly plugged and restricting air flow causing a vacuum in the fuel tank which gradually stopped the fuel flow to the carburetor. I had this same problem years ago with another saw. I removed the brass filter piece and installed a very small dia vent hose.
Thanks for posting this. I have a J14 and have kept it on manual jet ski lift which recently broke. Decided to bottom paint it and use mooring whips and add a bilge pump floor mounted; but, didn’t think about it would still have a little water in it. How has it held up? I am a little worried about causing the transom to weaken.
From what I can see… the red wire from the light connect to the red wire of the adapter, then the black wire from the adapter goes to one side of the switch and the black wire from the light goes to the other side of the switch to complete the circuit. Is that correct?
Now that you have used this new version several times, how long will the battery old up thru the night? As, what voltage and make was your battery? And where do you order the female side from? Thank you. I’m Riggin my kayak up for floundering with those lights and never thought of the tool batteries your using 🤠👍
Excellent video, glad you showed how to reassemble the handle. Other videos just disconnected the arm and couldn't see how the trigger worked and how you reassembled the trigger.
My LA145 had a similar problem, only I have the older style tank with the fuel pickup molded into the tank itself. The debris in the tank on mine was due to bad gasoline. It was a black tar like substance. The fuel line was also completely deteriorating and wouldn't flow fuel. I was able to unbolt the fender section and gently lift and support it enough to get to the fuel line connection at the tank. I used a cable like grab tool, as well as water and compressed air to dislodge and flush the tank. New fuel line installed, new filter in place, tractor is running great.
Very good video.....Well, mine went down back in the pandemic start, and no one would work on anything....mower would run good for about 10 minutes and then just sort of shut down to idle...I figured it was the coils, but I had no shop and had to replace them in a stall of our barn. Needless to say, taking the cover off and getting access to the horizontal shaft area without taking the motor out was a bit more tedious. Now, 3 years later, the same mower is starting to bog just a bit when turning uphill, so I am wondering if now the valves or gasket is going to need attention.
