Here’s a fun filled fact I’ve shot several turkeys beyond 60 yrds with magnum blend including furthest at 73. Switched to 9 shot tss and switched back after chasing a head flopping bleeding gobler 200 yrds after head shooting him at 55yrds. There’s something to be said about the diameter of the pellet just doing more damage. It’s not like I didn’t hit him good he was all shot up in the head and neck and not dead!
Hey bud! The bow is a 19 inch Hoyt satori with 55lbs uukha uureg limbs pulling 56 at my draw. Simmons great white broadhead leading a 250 spine victory VAP arrow with 75 grain stock insert. Gives me 630 grain arrow with 300 of it up front.
I respectfully disagree. They tend to move sometimes when climbing and the foot to boot traction is less then ideal. I would go with cam over steps instead.
I’d say the time to put into it is the real deal maker or killer! These days life is so busy, probably the #1 reason people quit hunting. I don’t have much time, so I just accept that I may not have as much success as others. Still getting out there and having opportunities for success. I have family in Port St Lucie Fl that I go to see every few years around Christmas. Would love to bring my gear and try for deer or hogs on public some time. You all have a beautiful state!
Hey man I'd like to get up, I'm north central too. I hunt a lot of public land, but I'm always by myself, and I'd like to do some out of state, it's hard to find people that truly respect and love the outdoors anymore. Seems like a bunch do it for Facebook likes.
Hey dude! We have a Patreon group full of folks who are exactly what you’re looking for. They are all lone wolves in their areas of Florida but they now all hunt together all over the place. www.patreon.com/chasingtalesoutdoors
I want to film mine and my kids hunts just for us to enjoy and remember. I would like to use this method. My only concern is the editing and storage. I only need basic editing nothing fancy. I would just cut, splice and zoom. Can I do all of that on iMovie? Once I am done editing can I transfer it to a sd card or something so I don’t fill up my phone? I really appreciate the help. I have wanted to do this for years but can’t afford an expensive camera and laptop. I would give anything to have my sons first deer on video. It was a nice 6 pt that I called in. It was also the first deer I have ever called in.
I'm sure you haven't seen or heard of it but the tree lounge/lounger is the most comfortable and strongest tree stand on the planet and when you attach the wheels it looks very similar to his stretcher...I bought my first one in 1990...I wish I would have had one in 1978 when I first started hunting in ocala national forest
Heck yeah I love those transitions. I agree with the setup, gonna be risky but should payoff. Probably will have to take that dreaded quarter-too shot. New sub, looking forward to the content 👍
@@ChasingTalesOutdoors didnt ask how many states LOL i asked what state are you hunting like what state was this video made in. Just to help me understand the scenario
Haha! The scenario would apply to most any water access. Buck/deer movement around water is very predictable. I should do a video with aerial footage so folks can see it better. This was central GA.
