I would never use a groomer who shaved a breed that should never be shaved. I don't care what the client wants. They can go to a different groomer. I show these dogs and this is just beyond ridiculous
Omg looks like my gfs dog and acts like him! No one will groom him he is more aggressive than this one. What should I do? I tried...almost have 9 fingers now!
I know this is an old video, but I have a 13-year-old Shih Tzu who has bitten every groomer we have taken her to. Thank you for this very helpful video. I have started grooming her myself. The vet prescribed meds that sedate her to the point that she is sleeping! It would be hard to get her to a groomer like this. I did a full groom yesterday for the first time I did OK on her body, but her face, not so much! I will keep watching these videos and practicing Thank you again! One more thing, I didn’t trim her nails. I was too scared!

I have a shorter haired version of this . She sheds incredible amounts of hair. She only drools when she thinks I'm eating something because I always share with my buddy.
Caoimhe is an Irish name 🇮🇪 Origin:Irish. Meaning:gentle, beautiful, precious. Caoimhe is a feminine name of Irish origin to remind baby that they're a beloved addition to your family. It translates to “gentle,” “beautiful,” and “precious”-all wonderful words that describe baby to a tee.
This was hard to watch. So unnecessary to be shouting practically into his exposed ear. And then to point the tip of the forceps straight down while laughing and not being in total control of her instrument. And finally, the last hair she was pulling was not from inside his ear but the perimeter where it's very painful for the little guy. He was trying to tell her with his struggling. I'm not a groomer but I've been taking care of my Shih Tzu's grooming needs since prior to the pandemic and even without formal training it didn't take me long to figure out how to keep her comfortable during ear care.
They look really cute like that, big husky cuties, my doggy is a little more on the sporty BMD side. His breast/neck coat is getting a little long these Chicago summers get pretty hot sometimes.
