Piein Dasky Tks for the comments I think idiots is takin it a little too far bud. We have fished this way for years u will notice all fish were hooked in the mouth legally so we r doing nothing wrong. We usually keep the silver fish which almost always end up being females. We also release a lot of fish during the season. We love fishing and no it's not all about eggs it's about enjoying the outdoors and a fish fry.this is close to the mouth of the river where new fish come in during May. We were planning to keep the fish with the eggs anyway.
thats all you do is run around and hunt feamales for eggs,that measly little jar of eggs n 4 dead hens....man if you need eggs that bad look up the "farm" hatchery in new dundee beautiful eggs got 2.6lbs for like 20 bucks
thats not fishing thats raping fish off their beds,if either of the first two hens were dumping eggs you would have kept for sure..all you keep is feamales with eggs your a sad bunch

On the Saugeen a musky is my main goal I have never caught one except for pike, nice fish. U were lucky not to get a treble hook in the in the hand then there would been more unhooking to do. A big net or some bogo grips come in handy.
