At the start of 2024, all the girls refused to sign solo contracts with YG and decided to open their solo labels to manage their solo careers. That was their only condition to sign again with YG as a group (their contract had ended in 2023). Since Blackpink is their only money maker, YG had no other choice than to accept. So they came to a compromise that 2024 would be dedicated to the girls' solo careers outside of YG and 2025 would be the group comeback. Fast foward to July, YG's stocks are not doing well. The girls on the other hand are thriving with brands sponsorships, collabs, music, film... With all this, I wouldn't be surprised if YG is forcing them to return sooner and put their solo careers on hold. But the girls are holding their ground. Since all the girls are in separate labels, the conflict can't be who releases music first. Each girl can release music whenever they want. The thing with Jisoo is acting has always been her passion. She even auditioned in YG as an actor but YG decided that she would fit better in a group. And now, she's filming 2 movies. Some fans just can't accept this and just want music. Personally, I support everything she does.
I actually did a reading on those two, and I'm actually worried about their connection because it does feel very transactional as of they're using each other. @@kld6 oh I can definitely wait, no problem. Also, the girls are currently focusing on their solo careers in their individual labels. So all girls except Jisoo are actually preparing new music/albums. Jisoo is focused on acting for the moment. They haven't disbanded though, the group activities are just on pause this year. It's a bit complicated to explain lol.
Jisoo is going to release music soon? Someone else commented on one of my videos ask for a reading on her because they were confused to why she isn't releasing any Music versus the other girls . 🤔
