Grew up on a WI dairy farm in the 50s and 60s. One of the tractors was a 730 Diesel with RollAmatic front end. Not suitable for the job you show here, but a great tractor. Wish I could run one again. Thanks.
Your clutch bearing will thank you if you kick transmission out of gear and engage the clutch when the tractor is idling. We had two 640 John Deere rakes that we had hooked in tandem. If you wanted singles you hooked the second rake to the right side of the first. Doubles then the second rake was on the left.
Wild! i raked hay with that rake as a kid. thousands of acers with the jd430 and baled thousands of square bales with the 430 and a 24t baler. cut the hay with a 520.it was my job as a kid when i was on summer break. we still have the 430,520,and 730. got the 730 after we quit haying.
yes awesome nearly covers it plus you can cart small bales on your own no matter how hot it gets great invention so complex yet works very well they have their bad days too
@@BenRiddick07 crazy small world haha we gotta link up man i ride that area all the time worked building cabins in jasper with the Kelley's and my family gotta cabin in silver lakes. On NFR260 where the big lake trail is. Would ya ever wanna meet up and ride?
That was way cool. Knotters are amazing. First time I've had a chance to see the hay dogs work also. I broke a hay dog spring about a month ago on my Hesston 4570. It doesn't make very good bales when all isn't working right. Thanks for the video!
My dad had a 730 and an r. I'm trying to find either one. But the ones I have found have been restored and they want 20,000 dollars for them. Thanks for the video! Keep it Poppin
Twine is good, and economical. Have you ever considered using those giant hose-suspending springs that hold the air hoses and cabling out of the way behind the cabs of tractor-trailers?
