This kind of sequencing - especially ratcheting - has had me baffled for years. But I just followed along, using Stepic sequencer and the Cherry Audio Miniverse (replicates a Model D Moog) and cracked it. Great video - thanks.
Delay/reverb is totally off/wrong as TD used it to to create what I would describe as a very subtle under rhythm that added depth and movement to their sequenced parts (listen to some TD sequencer sequences with headphones and you’ll hear it.
Its very important to get delay involved. Tangerine Dream did it ALL the time. In the 70's they used a modified Revox tape machine on stage to add in the delays. Delays on a sequence sound different even to multiple sequencers.
