I have the 5 rack system I’m have trouble maintaining temps on the top tub and bottom tub the 3 in the middle hold and maintain heat. Do you have any tips as to how to maintain heat on top and bottom tubs? Thanks
You could try a piece of foam board insulation. Not sure if it would help the C Serpents racks but we use it for our bottom row on our Freedom Breeder racks to solve the same issue
If you're having issues with just the top and bottom we would start by trying to put it underneath and on top. On the Freedom Breeders we put it underneath the bottom row of tubs. You can always add more to other areas of the specific rows causing issues if that isn't enough. This is just based on what works for us for a similar issue and we can't guarantee it will fix the issue you are having unfortunately
This has worked well for us. Though we have switched to metal screen instead of fiberglass. We found that crickets could chew through the fiberglass screen
When we first started breeding we started our season in mid-october and would end it around June or July for our ball pythons. But at this point we breed year around because all of our girls seem to be on different schedules. So if they're locking and follicles are growing and they're showing all the signs we breed them and if not we don't. And whenever they lay a clutch we give them some recovery time before we start breeding them again and wait until they are at least up to the weight they were before laying eggs before we start breeding again. For some girls that can be 4 to 6 months and other girls and up taking a year or two off.
