Apparently you can get way more power out of the eCVT transaxle without putting more strain on the piston engine. People are using the transmission alone for EV conversions putting out over 300hp by themselves.
Good video guys, I would add though that front a/r are a pain in the ass on these and not ever had a set come off nicely! one of my personal Z checkpoints is deffo removing the soil caps on the rear arches cause that’s where most rust starts from! Keep up the good work! 🎉
Assume he means the plastic piece that live on the forward part of the rear arch near the sideskirt. In there there is a black plastic trim. If you remove it there is a lip that produces and it is basically a crap catcher. I removed about an inch thick of mud from mine and it was the source of some wheel arch rust
Do you notice any difference when driving? I have my brace on my 350 but my Z1 single exit exhaust kinda rattles on it when I’m idled after driving. Debating on removing it just not sure how it’ll feel after.
Excellent video guys, learned a few bits there. Of course my anxiety is now high so will have to spend some money, clutch being the first job for Bob 😜
The collective knowledge and experience of the Tarmacsportz crew probably greater than all the Nissan Service Centres put together! Zeds are such special cars that deliver so much more than their on paper stats suggest we need people like you keeping these going. Keep up the great work guys.
Big difference from people that studied the car over 20+ years vs technicians who probably skipped training in Japan. High turnover at Nissan High Performance centers. Dealers useful for first service and warranty on new cars 😂
I've had a 2005 350z for 3 years with 47k miles. I think it was stood for a couple of years before I bought it. It runs perfectly with good mpg. The issue is, it's using oil. About 1 lt every 3-400 miles. Under acceleration there's some white smoke from the exhausts and a smoky smell that you can taste through the air vents. Could it be the cam cover gaskets or an air leak somewhere. Any advice would be great before I take it to a garage. I live in Wigan and I don't know of any local z specialists. Cheers.
Would the valves be suitable on a trackday? Or should they really be open when wot? Also do you have the decibel readings with the valves closed? Thanks
Hello Friend, I was wondering, will it fit if I have Z1 plenum spacer? I'm worried, that it will touch the engine head, looks like there is no so much space in between! Many thanks
I’m based in Dubai and I have ordered this and now I’m facing issue with rattle and rumble sound in the cabin, specially from the trunk! Can you guide how to fix that?
Any thoughts on how this fits a 370 Nismo compared to the Invidia? The Invidia seems to come up a bit recessed on the the Nismo bumpers from pictures I've seen
@@caitlinrusson8622 I was able to get it off eventually, I think I had to brute force it and use even more strength to get the damn thing off. Can’t remember if I used a flat head of something to help pry/pop it
