@@ggozdilBasically you can use any audio application for recording, launch it alongside Traktor DJ and record the input 1/2 channel provided by GIGAPORT eX.

The concept of MAYA22 USB is that there is no gain knobs to keep the product as small as possible. The gain / volume control is done by software. If you look for an interface with nice hardware controls, you might want to look at our U22 XT or Amber i1.

Unfortunately the iPhone does not provide enough power for a device like UGM192, especially not when a microphone with phantom power is being used. Because of that, we provide a separate power connector that allows you to connect a separate power supply, which could also be a portable battery.

Thank you for purchasing Amber i1. This video describes something different than what you are trying to do. We do not have a tutorial for your specific application at the moment, however this video comes close and might be interesting: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-waQX9X8rvjg.html - it is about vocal recording with Bitwig Studio 8-Track as multichannel DAW, which is included with our interfaces. Your application is very basic and does not require many settings. Do not set anything in DirectWIRE, no connections at all. In Audacity make sure to select the input 1/2 channel of Amber i1 as recording device. Now when you record, when the input on the hardware is set to “Mic”, both channels will be your vocals. When set to “Hi-Z”, both channels will be your guitar. And when set to “Mic/Hi-Z”, then the left channel are the vocals and the right channel the guitar. This assumes you record in stereo. If you record in mono, only the left input channel will be recorded. Audacity is a stereo editing software (similar to the included Wavelab LE), so it depends on exactly what you want to do, if this is enough. If you want to properly record multiple sources (i.e. add pre recorded stuff, other instruments or like show in this video RU-vid content) and/or several takes of your vocals / guitar playback, you really need to consider using a multichannel DAW instead. We include Bitwig Studio 8-Track, but the principle is the same for any software. You can then record vocals on one track, guitar on another, other signals like RU-vid on additional ones, add virtual instruments, add effects, mix the sound the way you like it to left/right channels, etc. - and eventually export a final song created from different recordings and sources. This is all very basic stuff that works the same with different software and other audio interfaces and there are many recording tutorials available online. Also if you have specific issues with Amber i1, do not hesitate to contact our tech support as each application is different and it is not easy to generalize what to setup exactly as everyone is doing something slightly different. I hope this helps a bit to point you into the right direction.

Yes, in fact this is what MoCo is intended to be used with. You connect it between your source (usually your audio interface) and one or two pairs of monitors. If you use two pairs, then you can switch between them. MoCo itself is passive (= it does not change the sound) while your monitors are active (= they amplify the signal to produce the sound needed for the speakers).

@ShortTimeStorys The button on the back switches between the inputs on the front and the inputs on the rear of U22 XT. If you want to use the microphone input, of course you must set it to the front inputs since the microphone input is on the front. What you hear (= monitoring) is a different issue: the InMixOut knob on the front controls if you only hear what is coming in (= In), what you play from the computer (= Out) or both together (= Mix).

Hello @danibass25, the issue you mentioned can have several reasons and without more details, we can only guess what exactly is happening. The peal LED being on constantly means that the signal is very high in level, so it is possible that the gain of input 2 has to be lowered (i.e. what happens if the gain is set all the way to 0, is the LED off then?) or it could mean that the signal itself is "too hot", so we would have to look at the source (is it the output of an electric guitar?). Then you said you cannot hear it, however as there is a red LED, some signal must be there (even if it is too loud or noise, etc.) - so it looks to me like you did not setup the monitoring to be able to hear the "Hi-Z" signal. To do that, you would need to set the "inMixOut" knob to the middle or all the way to "In" and the input source switch must be set to Hi-Z or Mic/Hi-Z. Also the front inputs must be selected. All of this is explained also on our Knowledge Base under kb.esi-audio.com/ and of course for any issues like this it is best to use our technical support via www.esi-audio.com/support ... if English is a problem, you can use translation tools like Google, etc. that work really well these days. Ji @rautshsale1948! The RCA inputs are a -10dBV line input. By definition the levels are fixed. If needed, levels can be adjusted by software.

@@ESIaudio thanks for the quick reply and/but sry for the followup. does this mean, if i want to plug in the stereo line out of my mixer to the RCA inputs, would i just select inputs 3/4 in the DAW, and both L&R would have the same input level (-10dBV)? so practically speaking, i'd just have to worry about the output level on my mixer to hit the right level, but if necessary, i can still adjust the input level (for both L&R channels at the same time) via the software? i just want to get away from manually setting input gain for L&R channels individually, when recording a stereo channel, hence my questions. thanks in advance!

@@rautshsale1948 You would use input 1/2 as U22 XT is a 2 in / 2 out audio interface and to use the line inputs on the rear, you select it via the Front/Back selection switch of the hardware. Since your source is a mixer, you will have the best quality and dynamic range if you adjust the output level of your mixer rather than the input of U22 XT via software.

@@razmanrhoads2078 This sounds like a mismatch of the sample rate inside your audio application ... for instance if the software is set to a different sample rate than the audio hardware something like this could happen. Since this is very specific to what exactly you are doing (audio software, OS version, etc.), please contact our tech support via www.esi-audio.com/support if the problem is still there.

The inputs must also be enabled in the Bitwig preferences. If you have already done this and are still not getting an input signal, you can use the front/back input selector switch on the back of the U22 XT. Sorry about that, but this is not possible with DirectWIRE. The DirectWIRE Device routing function is to route audio signal between different audio apps and driver standards. To remove background noise you need a DAW software or a audio denoiser app.

@@mihaela449 I assume you refer to the LED indicators that show the input level? If they are red, the signal is clipping and too loud. Orange is OK, then you are close to clipping and green shows it is a lower level and there is a signal. There are 4 stereo outputs, so yes of course you can play 4 channels from Traktor.

No. Only through the outputs of the interface you can send out signals related to the audio processing, due to performance and latency related issues. It is theoretical with some software (usually anything that is not using ASIO) possible to output signals through the onboard sound card of your computer but the performance and stability will never be acceptable. When you use a professional audio interface, you also need to use its outputs.

UGM192 has a second USB port that can be connected to a power supply, so whenever the power from the computer or iPad, etc. will not be enough, you can use this second port to supply power to UGM192 either through a power adapter or a battery pack.
