I had this for my Atari 400. One of the first games I bought after upgrading my memory to 64. Loaded the 32K game off cassette. The 320x192 resolution of a TV screen didn't lend itself to much detail, so depicting an actual two winged bi-plane was pretty nice.
Are you sure it had 320x192 for Blue Max? this is close to VGA (320x200). I know the C64 had a high res mode with 320x200, but most games used the low rest with something like 160x200 which allowed for more than two colors
So I'm an old C64 pirate from WAYYY back. (As in I was copying/cracking games when they were brand new in 1983). Blue Max is funny in that it has a message to would be pirates inside the code. Something to the effect of "This is too hard for you, now go and tell all your pirates friends that you couldn't break Blue Max (signed) Peter Adams". On the loading screen for Bandit Boy's crack, he included this text along with a "Sorry Peter, maybe next time" comment of his own. :D
I have not heard of this game. I know anyone could make game for Atari back then. Would like to know the sales number on this one. It was Way beyond bad.
A blast from the past! I had the cheap knock off Magnavox while my best friend had the Atari. I’d come over to his house and play all his games with him and his brother the good old days.😂
I used to love Tron when it came to the arcades back then. I have the game for my Xbox 360; isn't quite the same as having a dedicated arcade unit but it does scratch the nostalgia itch. Great selection of games.
The Arcade conversion for the Commodore 64 looks great 😺👍🕹️. And the cover art work from Anirog is brilliant 😺👍🕹️. A big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.
