Saw them 2 times in Herleen and once in Eschweiler (where their first german concert once was). I was a bit to young in their "best times" and only remember one song on a gimmick of a mickey mouse journal (wobbly plastic record). Then forgot about them till the 2000s. And felt in love with their music. And man, one bassist, one guitarist, 3 blowing instruments and a keyboarder create such a huge and perfect sound. Amazing.
My mom is a huge Level 42 fan so as a little kid I listened to them a lot and I (now 20) am a big fan too so me and my mom went to this concert! Such an amazing experience
Blinking brilliant , so great to hear mark still using his real voice , unlike some old bands miming to their old vocal tracks , or using a pitch corrector , and Noah and the GLOBSTERS can stuff AI IT WILL NEVER DO THIS AMOUNT OF NUANCE FOR THOSE WITH AN EAR AND SOUL TO HEAR . AND A CLONE WILL ALWAYS BE A CLONE . CHEERS FOR POSTING FABIO . AND IGNORE THE MOANERS .
17:57 This is Brad's part and he's off screen here, and Lauren's got her mic lowered so she can't be heard here, but this is the point at which Addie first started experimenting with harsh vocals herself. So, was that Brad or was that Addie growling?
Quinton went crazy on drums, Brad shredded like a virtuoso, and Addie was pure aggression on stage. Can you just imagine how much more they're bringing it on tour now that they've released "Glory Days" and "Just Won't DIE!!"? And they don't even have Lauren with them this time to provide harsh vocals, it's all on Addie and Brad and they're both bringing it!
Sorry but the sound is awful and e.g. Runniong in the family was not sung as it should be... have you smoked something, Mark? I adore you since 1982 but there ist something wrong now ...?
Yeah, sound isn't good because it is filmed in front of the stage. I guess the bass is so loud on the recording since it is the sound coming directly from those Mark Bass amps on stage. I don't understand why you would put your amps directly next to the drummer. The sound engineer must have had a bad day mixing a good drum sound with all that bass sound getting into the drum mics....
I just discovered this band last year & thus not all the music of the 80s was pants. Shame there's not the original 4 & musically there's a difference. RIP Boon, peace at last.
I explored the house in 2000 when I visited Amsterdam. It felt so iconic in that house, knowing who lived there. Many of his lithographs hung on the walls, too.
