I just stopped by to check in. Having seen a video from you in a while. I miss when all the old crew(you, KLove, Geralds Horticulture, Peggys Indoor Gardening, Soaring Seaward)was putting out new plant videos
Heyyy Terrence 👋🏻👋🏻 how’s it’s going my friend? I haven’t put out any Planty videos in a lonnggg time lol. I’m over on Tik Tok now if you wanna follow me there, Becky Ann 0518. Do you have a Tik Tok? Hope you are well ♥️
@@LeeDfined Have you thought about creating one? You can post your plant related content there as well, its actually a lot of fun 🥰 I do miss the old RU-vid days as well, I don’t even know whose all anymore…Those were the days 💯♥️
❤ Happy holidays! Thank you for the video . I have a question about this same plant. Mine has grown HUGE ! LIKE over 3 feet tall! It's NOT spindally or looking bad just super tall. Do I pinch the tops of these plants or clip them to start new ones? TY!
I love the contrast between the pot colour and the plant. Is there drainage in the glazed pot I did not see the bottom of it and when you water propagate should you change the water or just add fresh water as it evaporates?
Easily one of my favorites!! Got her at Walmart when she was tiny and almost dead and i brought her bakc and she is now beautiful and I have two cuttings rooted one I’m keeping in the water and goin to start a new mother plant with the other one!! Love the purples on the plant and it seems very hearty! Yours is gorgeous too 💜💚
Thanks for the video! I need some help - I rescued my moses in the cradle from the to-throw pile of our local nursery, and saw it grow from brown scraggly leaves to this beautiful, light green plant with a slight purple on the underside. I had to unfortunately travel, and my neighbor overwatered it and apparently most of it died? It is down to just two leaves, clinging on for dear life. How do I help it? The leaves dont have much of a root, but have stayed green for over a month after the rest of the leaves died (I didn't see the dead leaves). Am I putting the plant through pain by keeping it planted?
Great info! My grandpa used to grow them, so I picked one up at Home Depot. I instantly became obsessed with it! I just ordered a variegated version from Steve’s leaves. Do yourself a favor and google it.
@@ItsmeRebeccaB thank you for answering my questions. One more: do the new plant babies have a stripe in them like maybe yellow? The reason I ask is I have a photo from a botanical garden and I want to try growing the plant. If I can determine it is this variety it will make it easier to find. I have variegated spider plants I grow year round in my dome greenhouse that I enjoy tremendously. Stop by my channel sometime.. I love making movies about what I grow too ❤ thank you in advance!
Your holiday cacti are gorgeous! I have two I bought at Trader Joe's a couple of years ago that I moved to the back room that started showing buds last week. I am so excited. I've never been able to get these plants to bloom. Yesterday I got some cuttings I ordered online. They're red, yellow, peach, pink and Epic Star. Got my fingers crossed they'll live and bloom!!
Thank youu! 🥰 Holiday cacti are very easy to prop so I’m sure your new cuttings will be just fine. I love that they come in so many different colors, such a beautiful, easy going plant! Have a great week and thank you so much for watching and commenting! 🙏🏻🪴💕
Great video! 👏❤️⭐ I have one question. Near the end, when you were watering overhead, how do you avoid powdery mildew?! I have had the worst time with mine getting powdery mildew if the leaves get wet. 🤯🤷🏼♀️ Yours is so beautiful!!! 💯‼️
Hi Miles 👋🏻😊 Love the soap hahaa, super gentle for the plants…and hands! 😅 Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving and thanks so much for watching 🥰 I’ve been enjoying your channel for a couple of weeks now…you have a beautiful plant collection and I love your personality! ☺️🙏🏻🪴💕
Do you have any tips on doing this with an extremely leggy plant? Mine looks awful and I didn’t really realize until I had given my mom a stem that had fallen off and hers looks so vibrant and full now! Mine doesn’t even look like the same plant. I’m scared that I’m going to kill the whole thing 😩 Should I want until spring to trim it?
Hi Abby 👋🏻 yes, you can absolutely do the same thing with your leggy plant. Just cut off a few of the decent looking vines (painful I know, but trust me your plant will grow back so much fuller), remove a couple of the leaves at the base of the stem and place them directly back into the soil of the mother plant. Since we are going into winter (I’m on the East Coast) and I’m assuming because of your comment, you may live in a chillier climate as well during this time of year, just be sure to keep the plant in a warm environment and place it in an area that it will get plenty of light. Warmth and light will be the key to success in chillier weather. You will be amazed at how much fuller and beautiful your plant will be, so easy! Good luck with your plant and thanks so much for watching and commenting! 🙏🏻🪴💕
Hi Julie 👋🏻 It all depends on how you like your plant to look 😊 You can let the vines grow long or you can trim it back a bit which will promote more growth at the top of the plant. You can take the cuttings and make new plants or place them back into the soil along with the mother plant which will also make the plant much fuller. Just experiment and have fun with it, no right or wrong way 😉 Thanks so much for watching and commenting and have a great weekend! 🙏🏻🪴💕
I have a purple passion and I have some white spots on the stem. I tried to tweeze it off but it looked like it was attached to the plant. Do you know what they are?
Hi Alison 😊 I suggest inspecting your plant for pests, specifically Mealy Bugs. If the white areas do in fact turn out to be Mealy Bugs, you can take a Q tip dipped in alcohol and dab each bug to remove them or you can spray your plant down with an alcohol water solution with a couple of drops of dish detergent (1 part I isopropyl alcohol to 3 parts water) and this will treat the entire plant. Do this weekly for 2-3 weeks or until you see no more mealies. Good luck and thanks for watching! 🙏🏻🪴💕
Wow your plants are so gorgeous Rebecca 😍 I do love ZZ and Sansevierias too because they are so easy to maintain. Thanks for sharing your plant collection 💚🍀
