People always talking about rights, BUT are those Rights actually applicable? Most people unknowingly but willingly trade rights for policy and procedures.
From Town Councils to Sports Clubs I am always amazed at the number of meetings that fail to issue Minutes of Meetings. If the people they are supposed to represent are unhappy they are not being listened to they should insist that one member of the Board be nominated as the minute taker and those minutes signed off by the Chairman and issued to all participants and placed on a Town Website for those unable to attend to access and read. The minutes of the previous meeting should be read and agreed by all attendees at the next meeting and any amendments agreed and noted. If this procedure was rigorously followed, chaos such as this meeting would not occur. This Town Board are not doing their job and the town people are not holding them to account.

Can't imagine why he wasn't a good candidate for a gun permit. I'm not saying the Sheriff phoning in his job these last few years which led to his deputies being wholly untrained but after inheritating a lifelong child-S-assaulting murderer deputy and then facing an unprovoked near deadly attack, I can understand why his soul is weary and his retirement overdue and earned.
