Nice video. I have 2300km on my Indy prostar now. Really like it. Mileage improving. It pushes a bit on corners. Should I try single ski rods?? What are your thoughts?
No power steering, no diff lock and a crappy gimmick handlebar, light, but as long as people keep on buying the same old models.Honda will never engineer new models
I own a 2007 Honda Rincon used exclusively for work on my trapline in Northwestern Ontario. This is the absolutely best piece of equipment I have ever owned. I have over 14,000 km on my bike and still on the original brakes and have never changed a part on this bike, besides tires of course. I would purchase this Rubicon 700 in a heartbeat knowing its reliability.
I just bought a 2024 overland , picking it up Saturday , the incentive they offered made it a no brainer to buy ! Slightly more than the cforce600 ( which I currently own , a 2021 model - which has been bulletproof)
I am a bit confused about the engine and whether it is all new or not. On another writeup about the Outlander 500/700, it stated that the HD5/HD7 engine has been used before in their side by sides so hopefully it's a proven design. Or is it?
Be carefull about that front cover, if it's not locked before you haul it on the highway, it will fly of and damage the black cover between the handles or your windshied if you have one, it is helded by a cable, but I put a binder over it for security now !!!
Since you have direct experience with both, which is quieter in the cab and overalll? The commander or the 950. I used to have an older 800 and it was loud. Trying to decide between the 950 and a maverick 700
They are both on a very similar architecture. The Commander has significant advantages in sound deadening between the cab and the engine bay bit to be honest, the sound levels are similar with the 1000 cc class engines that are based on the same design. The Commander is a studier machine but only by a small margin. You should be a happy camper with one or the other
Purchased a 2024 520 rubi DCT back in may(long time honda owner...1999 TRX300 ,2007 TRX420 ESP,2014 TRX420 EPS.Impressed by the quad.Transmission is a big improvement over the first gen DCT(2009 420 DCT CTE owned by my brother Still going but this is a massive step up,he wished he had this tranny in his other model a.2024 Outlander 700XMR😁).Ride is nice and the ergos are the best for a tall rider like me(over 6ft tall).Brakes are extremely powerful.Dual range is the cats a$$,you can haul a fully load two place snowmobile trailer with ease around a yard, also use low range DCT mode to blast over marshes and bogs with ease of a CVT(not lose your speed like the foot shift models..been there☹).Kimpex trail fighter tires(25inch)are a huge improvement to the mud/bog capability and ride quality. Fuel economy is great and the diff lock can get your over terrain that would stop my other hondas in the past.Keep up the good work...greetings from Terra-Nova😊
great video, I have one and would love to up grade the tires. Do you know if 30x10x14 tires will work on the stock wheels with no lift and not rub anywhere?
I absolutely love the Visco Lock system. It is so much easier to manage than a mechanical lock. Get the model that has the 4Lok system. True diff lock.
I think BMW Motorrad just set a new standard with this bike. Recently purchased a 2024 K1600b, it has everything that I was looking for in a motorcycle.
I’ve had a k1200s and currently an r1200rt… don’t have a clue what you mean about “notchy”…what is that?? As far as telelever you obviously haven’t ridden it enough to feel how connected you are to the road …..ride it more and you catch on…..nice video though!! And yeah….it handles phenomenally for a bike that weighs almost 800 lbs…..with a bike like that who needs a radio??? Oh and you ride wayyyy too close to the centerline!!🧐
Nothing wrong with a good Yamaha!!!! This will be my next bike. Wanted a Harley. But this is $10-15K less with all the tech (w/adaptive cruise). With the less hassle of stealerships trying to steal more of your money. $16K in US with deals going on for $13K
This might be a Canada model, but no Honda four wheeler is built in Canada. They are all built out of Timmonsville, South Carolina every single one made in the world comes out of Timmonsville, South Carolina.
When you say the new Rubicon is in the ball park as the other guys at $14000 after you said it doesn’t have diff lock, power steering and its slow our opinions differ. If a company it’s going to try and put new plastics and tires and still charge a premium that’s a total disappointment.
