A twenty something white girl and an opinionated millennial dude work together in a busy restaurant. Arguments are a given, perspectives are opposing and minds will be changed, only on Two Scoops Podcast. We are discussing the age of transparency, the effects of social media, the higher education system, the silent “quarter life crisis”, dating today, and much more... Why are you arguing with a butter sket, atleast give us viewers something to look at...... Almost threw up in my mouth seeing her. Get a fitter girl on the show please
they are different but gamers probably put it more time and effort practicing then athletes and i’ve been both the only difference is athletes do physical training while gamers do mental training
She completely misses the point, e-athletes „train“ even more than regular ones. The difference is that to be a athlete you gave to be fit but to be good at a video game you dont so they aren’t really athletes.
He’s 100 percent right, some e-sports players practice 12 hours a day every day and have unmatched motor skills and reaction times. It’s just the stigma around video games being for nerds and nerds being bad at sports. As a long time Basketball and Football fan I can appreciate how much some people invest in esports and how talented these people are. It’s not my shtick, but I can respect it.
Tbf her arguing points were wrong there is a difference but they both put in practice the same amount if anything pro gamers actually practice more where they have to play 8 10 hours a day for their contract.but there are differences and similarities
Crazy how you’re acting like athletes don’t train 4 hours a day, weight train 2 hour a day, eat healthily all throughout each day, have to do cardio for at least an hour everyday, and on top of that have to deal with PR, and merchandising etc etc, don’t say something this slow minded again
@@ChriseanRock11 yeah they dont cause they would have way overworked their bodies and I know both sides of this argument and I'm not saying they dont train hard I'm just saying that its maybe less time than people would imagine
@@ChriseanRock11 I'd also like to add that pro athletes get rest days pros gamers dont really get that. And I'm not saying that athletes are lazy or dont work hard cause they work harder than pretty much anyone but I just think that pro gamers also deserve some kind of respect cause what they do isnt easy
@@sweatybutter1091 Buddy, my comment was about how athletes have to balance all this training with the business aspect, while gamers can do both without struggle
@@habershamsoccerrocks dont ever reply to me again lil bro. You have nothing to say, and you are factually incorrect. Pro esports players have to play their games far more than pro athletes do. If you think it's so easy, why don't you just stroll in and make a couple mil? Oh wait, you'll never be able to, bc you're not genetically predisposed to it and you wont put in the work
@@himlologenetically predisposed to being a good gamer? What in the fandango are you talking about 😂 at most you’re nerves are the only thing that are limited through genetics, and I can assure you, gamers don’t do any plyometrics or even basic weight training to improve their nerve reaction time
@@ChriseanRock11 some people’s brains just process games, aiming, etc easier. Reaction times are genetic too. Sure it’s very very minor, but when it comes to games where a few MS or frames can make all the difference, some people are cut out for it and some aren’t, regardless of how many hours they put in
@@himlolo Coming from a calm place, take this comment respectfully, but I was pointing out the fact that yes gamers can be born with naturally faster reaction speeds, but I was saying that without training, this isn’t really important, if you put a gamer and an athlete against each other, the athletes reaction time is usually gonna be better because they actually train in plyometrics to maximize nerves, gamers don’t do anything to maximize their nerves so genetics don’t matter
It’s cool we live in a time of competitive organization based gaming but this dude done lost his mind. E-Sports is sports the same way chess is, you wouldn’t put Magnus against Lebron in any physical activity it’s just not the same at all 😂
She doesnt get it, pro gamers play 10-16 hour days literally never stopping in terms of getting better. If anything pro gamers work in the mental aspect harder because gaming doesnt stop because of the weather gaming doesnt stop because there is no light outside.
Didn’t realize athlete didn’t have to do training when weather is bad, like you’re just wrong, athletes MENTALLY have to eat healthy everyday, have to train almost 10 hours per day, each time they do so there is a little voice telling them to quit cause it’s so draining and hard on the body, while gamers just have to sit and play games for 10 hours, no dieting, no training physically, like what are you on about
Try Getting into Esports... Y'all will understand how much of the work they put in... Bgmi/pubg athletes have to practice for 8-12 hrs daily to stay relevant... And their tenure ends once they get into late 20's...which means they play when they're young and have to retire when they get old... How is that different than field sports?..
@@kalebgeyer7936 e sports is faaaarr more competitive if you think about it. Anyone in the whole world can practice to be the best at a game. But in some sports you can't even enter if you're poor, f1 for example. These mofos been go karting since kids and then go on to be max verstappens. League of Legends runs on literally any shit box of a pc/laptop. All you need is an Internet connection.
Well a lot of people say that marching in a band isn’t a athletic activity but with one practice with my Apple Watch we marched for 3 and a half hour with 6 and a half miles on my watch so I think we do more than most defensive players on a soccer team that for sure!
Are you dumb? Footballers or soccer players as you Americans call them run at top speed, change direction, get physically hit and battle with their Opponents physically for 90 mins Minimum at a really high intensity... Marching band is nothing like football. The disrespect is unreal. Maybe your crappy mls or college soccer but come to Europe and play Sunday league and let's see how long you last
When did trades ever have a point based goal system? Do you know what the definition of a sport is? Anyone who thought ur comment was smart is almost indefinitely dumber than you are. Stick to plumbing
I used to deliver appliances and ive certainly missed work because of an injury and couldn't carry a fridge. Still doesn't make me an athlete while at work. But when training martial arts afterwards I am
@Dinofx_jr golf and bowling both require much more physical effort than video games. I'm not saying video games aren't a sport, but they definitely aren't physically on the same level
Me personally I think 24 and up is too late because you should already have your life together by then, even though I’m 16 I think 24 is a decent age 🤷♂️
This is a beautiful example of 1) genetrations talking about life, which should happen way more, and 2) the younger generations being wiser that the older generations.
This is such a beautiful example of 1) two generations talking, which is so important, and 2) the younger generations being so much wiser than the older generations.
This is a very broad statement and incorrect. Psychology also has had time to develop and improve. For me I made sure and still am, focusing on loving myself and keeping the peace i have in my heart. I promote mental health and educate others that there are many, many different types of therapy modules that psychologist work with. Its like how there are specialist for Dr.s. I kept a peomise to myself that there is much more to life than my trauma, i knew how to deal with my trauma, i just didnt know how to embrace life and accept it for what it is or what i wanted it to be.
Do your kids have no friends? That is very sad. Sorry to hear. I love my very real friends, and we talk about our problems together and heal in our own time. I am in a place in my life where I can afford therapy, and it helped me immensely. I hope that on your kids as well.
@@Michelle-yd7zs ya what do I know, just happen to be a psychologist myself. If you're consistently in therapy and use that in place of friendship which is what you're describing here, your therapist is ripping you off. There are multiple harms to therapy and it is in no way for everyone or forever.
Yeah, unfortunatly that can happen. most therapy models are a re-traumatisation at best, and if they then don't provide the healing, you are worse off.
Experience is worth double the time spent in education. First job i got in Recruitment at 18 i was earning the same as 24 year olds that went to Cambridge after my probation. Your first job is the hardest to get and you just need someone to take a chance on you for a fraction of the cost of a graduate. And by the time i was 24 i was a manager hiring 24year old graduates with no practical experience.
This is only true of jobs that don’t require a vast corpus of specialist knowledge. Working in recruitment you surely saw a multitude of jobs you yourself weren’t qualified for because you weren’t trained to do them. I don’t want my doctor learning on the job at 18 thanks.
