I am over 50 and during my life I have searched and searched for a photo or videos of Mike Muir skating. Now, Jim definitely skated, but I think Mike just likes the record sales from being associated with the scene and that is f*******g lame. Would someone please send me a photo of him doing some rudimentary tricks or anything other than him holding a board or posing for a skate mag. I really hope to be proved wrong…….
In my opinion this is THE BEST PHOTO OF ANYONE SKATEING EVER.....FULL STOP...RIP JAYBOY YOUR MISSED AND COPIED BRO.THE WORLD IS LESS AWSOME NOW YOUR SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I love Jay.....he reminds me of my crazy Uncle Chopper.....who lights up my life in a huge way. Those who knew Jay have the same thing. I always had lots of respect for that man cause he never changed. Fame didn't change him, FAME COULDN'T TOUCH HIM!! He never lost sight of that, always had that. He never once pondered WHO AM I? That's a virtue few of us have & he had it in spades. My condolences to A REAL ONE
Love how vulnerable he is when he performs ♡ so gifted. ♡ last time I saw him live was when he came back to Saosin in 16' at the Taste Of Chaos Show in San Bernardino. Seen his solo stuff in 13' met him at the Fonda Theater in L.A
He showed up at Box with 2 others when i was like 13 he was about 15, at that age its a world of difference as was his skating. Many other pools (Embryo etc) we crossed paths how those guys knew was beyond me. On the grape vine.
But was also a genuine guy, warts, scars and all. So glad he got himself sorted and happy eventually and even tho he does too soon, was happy in himself. R.I.P bro.
yep seeing him and D.T.S. in Skateboarding mag , was my world man..1979 got my shogo Kubo model board red kryptonics and later trucks for some reason..pics and stories in that mag made me skate my first pool and built a quarter kick turn ramp..wish I never grew up.rip it up Jay.
My most favorite board to bomb hills on is the jay adams z flex cruiser 29 board. I love that thing. Hitting driveways & steep hills with wide streets...so sick. I always think about Jay & how the lords of dogtown movie said he was the "original seed". That rebellious youth attitude comes straight from Jay Adams. Rest in peace dogtown/zephyr legend.
Grew up like Jay sk8ing,surfing,Bmx hanging around gangsters and skaters, surfers.up in Pizmo beach when you hang around lots of different people it’s easy to adapt to anything.🤙✌️
