I'm sorry that the dryers failed BA Elevators & More. Remember when The Elevator Channel filmed that Oasis Typhoon at The Best Car Wash in Eureka, MO, The dryers didn't work and his car was still wet. Of all the Kum & Go locations that you've been to, I really enjoyed yours.
It happens. And I do recall that video it’s unfortunate it happened to him. Thankfully this station is pretty proactive about repairing any issues that arise with this wash and continue to maintain it considering there aren’t many of these washes left. Kum & Go themselves stopped building car washes out here and many have been demolished or permanently closed.
Quiktrip needs to add a Car Wash in SC to Compete with Spinx. Spinx gas station got They Car Wash on lot and they got their Car Wash separate on lot too. They make a run for the money.
Thank you for the heads up! Commonly I don’t have many, if any problems at your locations, usually they’re quite well maintained. Of course, like any heavily used equipment there are bound to be issues from time to time. Thank you for the concern, it’s nice to know y’all keep an eye out :3
As far as I can tell these are becoming progressively rarer and rarer, so far I’ve only spotted these two here and one in a bit worse condition over in Broken Arrow.
I’d have to agree! It’s weird this car wash (judging by Google maps n whatnot) doesn’t really seem all that busy on a commonly day unlike washes closer to home.
Sometimes on these new pdq machines they can hav a part in the machine go bad I’ve been through only a laser-wash m5 360 360 plus and a 4000 I’ve only been in a laser-wash m5 when the wash shut down on me I know the owner at this car wash and if the spray arm host something on a vehicle the 1st time it resets and goes out more of it hits it the 2nd time it shuts down and the sign will tell you to drive forward with the max air dryers on and I’ve had presoak on my moms car and the owner had to code us through the other automatic touchless bay he has to automatics and 3 manual bays he replaced a new touchless system in the right bay
This looks to be a 2015 model of the softgloss, you can tell because of the 6 go lights and the 4 stop lights on the front that you saw when you pulled into the wash. Nice video!
It could be, however checking Google maps either they had a different soft touch unit with the same color brushes or installed this unit in 2010 or so.
If I were at that car and the car wash went forward I would just drive out with soap on my vehicle and call the number in wash bay and tell them hey I got a wash at your car wash and the the machine did a weird thing like went forward and stopped and I still had soap on my vehicle could you please help me? If they are very nice and say yes I will be happy 😊
My local Ryko voyager did this and it ended up putting a HORRIBLE dent in my car when it tried to go forward while stuck and I got THAT on video too! 😰
