The game used to let you make kegs before the brewing licence was introduced. The brewing licence was added in the spring update. So now the kegs are not craftable unless you have that licence. Your island was obviously created before the spring update.
You can make a lot of money collecting wattle flowers and sell them and fish cook them and sell them, and your rice field if you dig one down and fill with water and plow and plant them you don't need to water them, thanks for the good stream ❤❤❤
The mines always get you :D Would be cool to have a way to get out quickly for late game players, like a mobile teleportation device or faster traversal options underground.
Hi you got a nice island, can I give you a tip don't sell the crabs as cook them in billy can as they will save your none power tools and yabbi cook for faster fishing and the prawns will do the same ,sparkling soup will save your power tools,and wattle and coconut drink for energy, hope this helps you, thanks for the good stream as always

Not sure you know but you can take the dinks out of your pocket before you go into the mines. Plus if you take a hand trolly you can bring back a chest full of items as well as your inventory. Now that we have the wishes, I find putting on the peaceful wish is worth it as you can go into the mine without enemies attacking giving you more time to grab extra rooms and goodies to sell. Thanks for your comment. I totally forgot about emptying my dinks and about the hand trolley that's sitting in my front yard! I've only used it once before. I didn't know about the wishes, looks like I have some research to do and a new goal to shoot for. 😄
I've learned the joy of using the workbench. Surround that with your chests and you won't have to take stuff out and put it back in order to make things.
Definitely a Dink-aversary worthy episode! Random thought, I wonder if catching fish on a boat is faster than fishing from land (quantity - wise), or if it matters.
I always feel like John is ripping me off, maybe it's a personality thing :D I do make tons of cash selling to him though, fishing for tons of Travalla and selling them all. It's to the point I don't even need to farm much.
I think tool durability needs some tweaking from the dev, my tools wear out super fast like your new spear did. At least you made it out of the mines in one piece 😅
Yeah, getting knocked out caused most of the wear this time, but yeah, I do find that some tools like the iron hoe and the battle shovel wear out quicker than I would like. I have to take more than one battle shovel into the mines
As to your question about watching or fast forwarding, i like the first time or two to be full watch so I can understand the process and time. Future videos could make use of fast forwarding until something cool happens or mechanics change. I just started playing Dinkum with the Autumn release and it is very fun. Thank you for sharing your adventures and giving me some good tips for getting started.

I hold down the hoe the water can to dig/water several at once. In winter, all I do is forage for winter root, snow yam, and crystal fruit, holly, etc. If I hoe the whole game in a day I get about twelve- fifteen each.
@permadink I'm in year 5. It's my third start and I feel like I hardly scratched the surface. So, my whole year four, I spent foraging and planning for yr 5. Just got new buildings and started working on friendship levels.
I do have some winter seeds somewhere, I remembered randomly after recording, and OMG good catch on the heater THANK YOU. I'll see if Marnie decides to go to work tomorrow. I guess I'm about to spend all my gold :)
Infinite cash in shops is great, especially when you're constantly selling stuff like in Dinkum. The waiting around for shops to replenish in other games kinda feels like a waste of time for the sake of realism.
Well, you see why Floor 5 works so well. Slimes generate most of the time, and sometimes you get a bunch of them. Only one of them needs to be replaced with a prismatic slime.
A bit late now but can't you harvest golden pumpkins? Like grab one put it in the seed maker and then plant them? It would be cool of you could and get more than one seed out of it.
It might be worth getting more oil makers. Once your pigs start digging up multiple truffles, not turning them into oil will be like leaving money on the table.
I'm sorely tempted to build a fish pond and toss some eels in there. I know the byproduct isn't going to be worth much, but it would be nice to have a good source of eels for spicy eels that doesn't rely on finding rubies.
The tent is so cool! I wish it was a permanent base on the island, I read they are single use items. Must start a new playthrough and try it for myself.
