Looks great ! Seems as though the port running light is actually molded for starboard side. Working on an eBay salvage, partially completed kit on the bench right now.👍
Nice score! I had the same engine on a Alumacraft runabout lake boat back in the eighties. It was a great engine, it would pull me up on one ski. Now I have a 1992 60 VRO on a Polar Kraft duck boat. I also have a Stinger 75, on a stand waiting for a fun boat to come along one day. Love the old OMC Loopers.
Got one of these yesterday for free while picking up scrap metal plan on doing a complete restoration. Only difference is mine has a tiller on the back instead of a cutting deck
I mowed with a 110 for decades. I bought it new in 72. Right now my Grandson is mowing with it. I helped him put new bushings in the deck and it smokes a bit, uses a little oil. He said he was going to rebuild it. I let him know it's been smoking long before he was born. They are a bullet proof unit. Really belts, oil, grease it up and sharpen the blades.
I have a '68 55 3 cylinder almost identical to this one. It was locked up and sat outside for 25 years. Got it turning and fired right up and ran like a champ.
Maybe I'm out of the loop now-days but I've learned in the not to distant past you don't use rubber hose as diesel fuel lines....at all, bad things will happen to your engine. I did while knowing better but maybe things/products have change recently. Almost forgot, very nice 110 you have there. 😊
Hey man... that thing sounds amazing at idle. i could fall asleep to it. and for only 100.00 bucks! you really lucked out. If you ever need parts for that engine, and a knowledgeable person to help you, look up Rock Creek Consulting. A man named Tim Stine is the owner, he has the cheapest parts out there.
Sure. You can use it. It was in Roselle Illinois at the end of my alley on my way to work. I was doing about 3 mph. Not much more I can comment about it.
Where did you find the serial # I have one but no stickers on it or anyway to figure out what year or size it looks like 64 122 in photos but I can’t figure out what I got. Any tips ?
