Where was the intro to the song? "All the boys I've known used to say I was made of stone, I would always leave them alone in despair. I've been on the pan, I've been called an electric fan, told I'm even much colder than frigid air. I began to wonder if I was all wrong. I thought so till you came along..."
I have it: HELENA: Jasper... You tried to destroy my brother, my friend Rosa, and your own nephew. You are an opium user, a would-be murderer, a madman, and a musician who ignores all the rules of counterpoint. In short, Mr. Jasper, you are the most fascinating man I've met since coming to this silly island and I offer myself to you without a smattering of shame. JASPER: Oh you beautiful dal masala, who needs opium when together we can achieve Nirvana! HELENA. You know what they say about women from the east: Once you've tried Nirvana, with no one else you wanna. *then perfect strangers starts*
This was filmed closing night- March 10 2013, Erin davie replaced Betsy as Betsy left on Feb 10 2013 with Andy Karl. Every bootleg there is of Betsy ends with rosas confession :)
Excellent performances by both ladies. Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It's not available on Amazon. Is there anyplace I can buy it. Netflix has it till July 31st. My air conditioner makes so much noise I can't hear it without blasting my neighbors away.
When she releases her album (because it's going to happen) she NEEDS to put this acoustic version on it... along with covers of Both Sides Now (Joni Mitchell), People (from Funny Girl) and Way Over Yonder (Carole King) because every soul needs it!
her "I still have them on" at 0:34 when Laura talks about her heels 🤣I feel like one of these days she's going to actually show up to one of these events in sneakers or flats ha
No one’s going to talk about Jessie and Drew going completely into the gutter at 13:21!? Jenna - “how would you like your coffee pot held? Some people like it from behind.” Jessie - “hey, some people do!” Drew - **laughing** I appreciate Jessie so much more now, my kinda humor!
I played The character “Gabriel” in 1993 in Conway, SC ... it’s so crazy I still Remember all the lyrics ... one of the monumental moments in my young acting career
I saw her on Broadway in ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER, and I KNEW this girl was going to be a big star! She is wonderful! I also saw her in CAROUSEL a few years later.
