Here is a small historical perspective. When Muslims conquered Spain and ruled their for 600 years, they developed this land from scratch. There is no single evidence from history that can indicate that Muslims in Spain converted a cathedral into mosque. The most painful act might have been if they would have maintained a cathedral building, and right in the middle of the cathedral building they would have made a mosque. If this would have been the case, then Christians had all the right to do what they did with cordoba mosque. BUT as still all around the Muslim world, forget about the Muslim world. After the birth of Islam, there is not a single example that indicate that a mosque was built right in the heart of a church and Christians were only allowed to visit and see. Cordoba mosque is the ONLY mosque in the wold that have Cathedral right in its middle. Muslims are allowed to visit and see ONLY. If mosque have been demolished and Church have been constructed instead (as it was done to thousands of mosques after reconquest) then Muslims were not able to see this painful sight ever after. What if you listen one day that right in the heart of the biggest Church in Pakistan (for example it 98% Muslim population) a mosque is built and Christians are not allowed to practice their religion there?
