Those Li-Ion cells - are they salvaged from a laptop computer battery? 540mAh discharge current seems a bit low for power tools, but it looks like they work for your Bosch drill. I have a cheap Chinese made 14.4V (NiCd) cordless drill and many old laptop Li-Ion cells. I will try this for myself, but I think that the laptop cells may not provide enough current.

Tie knots in the wire before leaving the shell. That way the wires don't pull out. Run the wire through the head band along side the metal wire. Neat project.
Given how the power bank shown has a short cord, you could make it so if the headphones battery is empty, you could clip the power bank on top of the headband. Then you can charge them as you also use them.
