*TLDR: Got a V2.6XL, last week. I'm very happy with it and don't have any hesitation in recommending it.* What you are getting is a mini PC with an external hard drive, with a Batocera set up on. In general the set up works fine straight out of the box. I would highly recommend that people do look at Batocera videos (the front end used), to customise things to your liking. There are several themes, plus options to tinker with, to get things to your liking and not forgetting Retroachievements, that can be added to enhance things further. Like all these systems, they do have some faults, with some games not loading, some of the more intense stuff, suffering from some stuttering and it having some pointless games for the UK audience, that are completely in foreign languages. But these games can be removed, replaced, by the user, by plugging the supplied hard drive into another computer/laptop and/or by looking at video/written guides on the internet. I would also suggest getting a wireless mini keyboard/mousepad set up, for the home computers featured, if that's a big thing for you. Finally, In simple terms, by following videos on youtube about Batocera on PC's, it means if you have an old laptop/pc sitting around, you can actually plug the hard drive in and by going into the computer BIOS, you can get it to boot from the drive first and use it on other devices. So all in all, the more time you invest into looking into it, you can really enhance your experience.
Hi, do you know if Virtua Striker 3 from the Sega Naomi 2 emulator works well for you? from my retroboss emulator it doesn't work very well I wanted to know if it works well for you thank you very much
Thank you for this. Been looking for something like this for Batocera which I am running on my arcade. This takes out the hassle in trying to find the games I like to play and just give me all of them and everything else...
Yes you can. You can also transfer the saves onto the new HD. The 2TB one comes in handy as a backup if you ever need to send off you 4tb drive off for update
That's interesting that you can transfer saves from 1 Hard Drive to the other but I haven't got a clue how to do it as I'm not good with stuff like that.
Cracking vid all round. Thank you. Brought back a lot of memories growing up in Plymouth with SR steam still around & at Exeter Central I can remember as a 4 yr old standing where your dad was filming watching the ol west country’s etc. Am I right in thinking your dad was George Pryer the signalman who compiled several books on SR signalling etc? Would explain how he blagged the shots from the warships cab, being a railwayman.
Hi David, I’m very pleased you enjoyed the video and nostalgia fix. Yes, my dad was G A Pryer. He can be seen in his happy place, operating a signal box in this very video.
@@lizzzzardking ahh, I did wonder if that was him at work. On the western too! Looked very young there. I seem to remember seeing somewhere he worked with the lads at Swanage in the 90’s to get the signalling sorted & the signalmen passed out etc. I’ve got 2 or 3 of his books very good reference material for modelling the SR of course. Thanks again for sharing his wonderful legacy.
This looks a lot like 'Airborne Ranger' on the C64. Funny thing is, you can tell what was ported from Spectrum to C64 because a lot of them looked like this vid, and they were for the most part, great, as long as you didnt get a copy that was too far removed from a decent master (as in copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy), almost my entire c64 collection came from a cop that lived next door whose entire collection was from other cops whose entire collection was from other cops, who confiscated them from somewhere back in the 80s when no one knew what the hell to do with them and a full game probably ran you about 50 cents for the magazine that printed the code you had to compile the game.
After 1 month my pads stopped registering with the console. Even using this method doesn't work anymore. Never touched the settings etc it literally doesn't register any controller now
I'm sure the Wingun/licensed Webley version is painted as well. They would not be blued as the metal is a zinc alloy (for the Wingun version too), not a steel.
@@lizzzzardking I can't really see what the difference is between the Well vs. the Wingun. Yes I know Wingun is considered the best airsoft revolver maker, but is there really a difference - other than the markings? The disappointment with both are the flimsy grips - such a shame they can't make a thicker plastic grip for both models.
@@peterbusch9110I’m quite disappointed with the grips too, which feel like they belong to a toy. Strange sensation for such a weighty gun. There is very little difference between the to revolvers visually. I haven’t tried both myself, but I hear shooting the Wingun is much more accurate
Do you know if they are planning on doing an upgrade for this like they do with the consoles? I've asked on the fb page but it's either not been approved or deleted. Cheers!
