Thanks for uploading Alan, Steve was a showman, a great guitarist on the moment and vocalist. Man Fred was disappointed that Steve would absolutely shine live but not conform in the studio. Sorely missed especially with his puppets after a few too many ‘sherbets’ 😉😀
Think maybe the hex bolt on top was meant to already come tightened and maybe it got loose in shipping, hence why no instruction to tighten? This is the second video ive seen weirdness. Another guy on youtube couldn't get any of the replacement bolts to screw in to his Les Paul Standard lol. Think maybe whoever worked that shift at Dues accidentally put in 2 sets of metric. oh well, cool vid.
It's pretty lightweight. I'm very sensitive to weight and I didn't find it added anything significant. Probably about the same as the tailpiece that came off.
I just bought a Fender Blacktop Jaguar 90 [p90 version]and that doesn't come with a trem either so think I might give one if these a go .Cheers nice video

I am curious about the spacing of the Les Trem, does it ever get in the way of palm muting at the bridge? Thinking about a Novo Serus P2 with this upgrade instead of a Serus J. Looks like the bridge spacing should be the same, unsurprisingly.
Apologies for the delay in replying. Yes, it looks like the P2 would take this trem. I haven't noticed any problems with palm muting. It's probably better than a Bigsby in that regard too! 🙂
I used to sneak in to the half moon when I was a teenager just for the music my mum had been going to the moon since the early 70s and knew Steve and lemi who would also drink in the moon. I grew up with these guys and now unfortunately a lot of them have gone!! So glad I found the few great videos people recorded back then as this just sums up my childhood.
And a big hand for Alan Cork on guitar! Indeed everybody on that stage were great musicians. I was probably at that gig, as I attended every week at the Half Moon with my little family until Steve disappeared off the scene. I wonder what happened to Mick "the Jug"?
Hi Alan: What pedal are you using for the chorus at 32:12? It's so lush and stereo sounding. Are you using some type of effects loop or running your guitar directly through all of those pedals in series? Might make an interesting RU-vid video of you explaining how you set up your home studio and what your effects chain is. FYI: I'm thinking of getting one of these trems for my Les Paul Jr.. Sounds phenomenal with that Big Sky reverb and the Chorus.
Hi John M. Sorry for the delay in replying. Thanks for your comments. The chorus is from the Strymon Mobius. All the pedals are in series. I could make a You Tube video of the pedals but I change them a lot so... Haha. Not sure about fitting it to a guitar that has no stop bar. I haven't seen that done. Would be interesting to know.

Thanks Dan. Much respect to you and your amazing vids! Yeah, no regrets fitting a Les Trem, unless you want it to go much further than a Bigsby. But it makes it easy to fit to lots of guitars that otherwise would require much more work. And it's much easier to string up! The Fano is now a go to guitar for all sorts of things. Haven't picked up a strat for ages!
@DanLeggatt In case you're interested I just bough a 2011 Fender Blacktop Jaguar90 [p90 version] in candy apple red for £399 and looks and sounds just the same to me .Tho I'm sure a real pro could tell the difference I'm just a beginner si good enough for me.
For those of us who got see and hear this great man play and sing, there can only be words of utmost gratitude and respect for the way he touched us so profoundly with his music. Steve Waller had music coming from every pore of his body.
