Top speed of a Stag is about 120 mph. It was never intended to be a performance car, more of a GT (grand tourer). But that V8 has plenty of torque despite its small size (3.0 liter) and makes a beautiful sound. And what a beautiful place you are living in! I'm jealous.

A much maligned, misunderstood and under appreciated car. A beautiful sounding engine. I have one and it is a delight to drive. It's comfort and decent performance never fails to impress passengers in the car with me. BTW, I'm pretty sure the 'official' top speed was listed at 118 mph, perhaps 120 on a good day. Ive had a very easy 110 out of mine. Ahem, closed course naturally. Thanks for posting this. Good luck with 'her'.
