Many women with short torsos, including myself, struggle to find clothes and styles that fit. Clothes and trends don't seem to easily "favor" shorter torsos since our midsections are not as long as the fashion industry standards.
But over the years, I realized that my own style preferences were based off of how I navigated my body type. If you have a short torso, then I have fashion tips especially for you!

I just found your short torso vids tonight while looking for a good swimsuit (of which in 40 years I've NEVER found) -- you are such a breath of fresh air. All these years I think - if I just lose enough weight... I'm 5'3" 113lbs. and Rompers still look horrendous lol. I stink at fashion and I'm committing your vids to memory lol. Everything you're saying is so on point. Love it.
Please post endless shorts haha or anything, love your content! Which jeans do you like? Stiffer material or stretchy? I don’t know why I feel like stretchy is not that popular. I definitely could be wrong hence me asking
THANK YOU for your short torso videos! I know what body shape I have based on the math, but there has been something off when I try to dress to my type. I knew I had a short torso but integrating that consideration deliberately into my fashion choices is a game changer. I greatly appreciate your tips and tricks and have immediately put some into play. And it's helping me better define why some things just don't work so I can just say no.
I did the golden ratio test. I was seven heads tall, meaning my vertical line was on the short side even tho I’m 5’6. I look short. My legs are shorter too. I was also short waisted and long rise. I was blown away and it all made sense. Also big bust. Ive always struggled with clothing! But I now know that clothing sizes don’t accommodate most peoples sizes and differences!
I have the opposite problem to the “high rise pants are too high!” My highest high rise pants have a rise of 15” and they’re STILL not high enough. 😭 (though I do have a gorgeous pair of 1980s or 1990s trousers which WOULD hit just the right length - if only they weren’t too tight for my waist! 😂 no luck anywhere!) If you ever have any advice for when high rise look like mid-rise on a long torso, I’d love to hear it! (Note: I pull them as high as I can and fasten with a belt, but it’s insufficient, and past that, it easily gets to 🐪toe territory! Help!
Im in a fashion slump because I am.a short toro and short legs. I have the extra weight in the middle due to menopause so im thicker in my midsection to the point its.difficult to keep pants on without contantly having to use a belt which then adds more bulk to my waistline 😢
Wrap dresses- for me I can't do since aside from a short torso I also don't have much shoulder or chest to hold the wrap up and the wrap bit just slumps and the fit looks awful- draws attention to my lack of waist and top half. Also t-shirt dresses are not so flattering on me for similar reasons of not enough shoulders or boobs so I just look like a straight sausage in those. Halter or v neck yes. And yes to either short or maxi length and not falling anywhere near the knee. Useful general tips here, but also dependant on your body shape as well as if you are short or long torso I think
When buying jeans, go by the rise, not by what the company labeled them as, they can be inaccurate, ad you might be missing on a great pair of jeans. And just because they are low rise, doesn't mean they are wrong for you.

There's a lot of great advice here. I have a short torso and these tips make sense. But you know what really bugs me? Is there a video for guys with short torsos? No. Guys don't care if they have a long torso or a short torso or any kind of torso. They just don't care. They wear what they like and no one judges them for it. Women's fashion and the pressures we place on ourselves and on each other to look a certain way are harmful on so many levels.
First find a good looking person. Then find the dress. Not reverse. First the dress then the person. Dress is man made. But the person is a creation of nature!
Can't believe I've only just found your videos! Whenever I've told anyone that my ribcage meets my hip bones (child of the 90s devastated at not being able to wear those super-wide belts because they just wouldn't fit in the gap!!) I'd always get really funny looks - glad to know I'm not crazy, or deformed ;) Thank you for all the helpful info!

i need help. What if with hands rule i have balanced torso, but if I look at my waist they are higher than my belly button, am I then short or balance torso?
Ok ok but what about illusions….so I have an average to longer torso, but due to my large bust that hangs down my ribcage, it makes me LOOK like I have a short torso. Could I still follow the short torso styling tips?
I feel so seen. I remember never being able to figure out why fit & flare looked so bad on me despite being an hourglass. Then I realized I had a short torso and started buying petites. A WHOLE NEW WORLD. Just in time for major retailers to scale back their petite lines 🤣

After watching this, I am just as confused if not more on what type of boot I should get. I have been wanting to buy boots for the past 5 years but every year I get overwhelmed and unsure of what style suits me. I am 167cm hourglass shape but slightly overweight at the moment. Help
