Nick, thanks for all your videos; they have been very helpful. I am however having some problem with this particular demo. It would help if you could tell me what configurations currently reside on customer routers, PE1 router and the PE routers. I followed your steps but am not able to get the correct results. My starting point was where you stopped in the earlier videos, which was MPLS with static routes. Thanks for your help.
Thanks! That entirely depends on the customers setup and how the provider police it. Sometimes a provider will assign a company an ASN per site and sometimes a single ASN for all sites. But yes depending on the chosen option, you may have to manipulate BGP to stop routes being dropped if using the same ASN across all sites. Hope this helps
@@nickcarlton4604 The other option would be AS overriding. I think the best MPLSL3VPN is to have freecore BGP rather a mesh BGP. Significantly i believe the purpose of MPLS is to scale wiithout much emphasis on traditional IP routing. However IETF did not fully managed to do it due to the layer 3 standard routing. protocol. MPLS is a great stuff. Current it stops at version 4. There is no breakthru after 4.
Hi I found this is using multicast in vxlan. Could you explain further the difference between unicast and multicast in vxlan? Currently our network is running on unicast worry there will be broadcast storm or flooding when we move to multicast network as we are not experienced.
Greetings according to the time zone! I need help, my name is Patrício Mateus I am a high school student in the Computer Technician course. I'm preparing the final project, and I'm using Mpls to interconnect two hospitals, I have mpls running but I can't connect it to the LAN network of each hospital How do I connect the MPLS network to the network?
Hi Nick. i'm trying to do the same with 2 nexus as VTEPs and few Arista as SPINEs. I'm having issues on carving the tcam region on the VTEPs nexus, to allow more arp-ether bandwidth. Every time I carve some space as you have done with the vpc convergence, i copy run start the config and then reload. After the reload is like I never done the carving, it doesn't save this modification. I am running NXOS: version 10.1(1), did you also encounter the same problem?
hello Nick, thank you for your sharing, but I have a problem on P1, sh ip bgp summary, yes it's has pairing to PE's. sh bgp vpnv4 unicast all in P1 as RR, but no out as shown in the video, so what's common problem?
What do I need to do to be able to let the LAN side (Loopback 0) ping the Internet? I see you can only ping the Internet from the sub-interface that was made.
