Gulp worms are highly effective for surf fishing. If you’re going freshwater fishing, then I’d say that nightcrawlers (fresh worms) are honestly the best option to catch anything. Which kind of fishing were you going to do?
@SaltwaterTherapist Thanks for the reply We fish the chesapeake bay here in maryland which is brackish water, its some salt, some fresh mix water, so to speak We have catfish rockfish stripers Croaker spot Flounder.
@@kent7525 oh wow. Hello from California! That sounds like some good fishing in Maryland. I believe with brackish water, you’re in a good spot to try freshwater bait and saltwater bait. Honestly, some squid, shrimp could also be a good choice of bait. Some soft plastics on a jig head would also be a good option for strippers, croaker, flounder. Just put the soft plastic on a drop shot and slow twitch it. Does that make sense? I do make some soft plastics here if you wanna give it a try. I can send some over to you as a sample. @@kent7525 Fish bites are great. I’ve seen tons of fisherman use fish bites, and they’re less mess. I would love to give it a try over here in the west coast.
I love that your learning fly fishing but i will warn you that it comes with alot of frustration and alot of reward and it does get addictive 😂 keep it up
