The problem I have with East Legon is the price of the properties compared to infrastructure in the surrounding area. It’s way too over priced for the area. I think it would be smart if all the home owners and property owners in East Lagon came together to start a tax for the up keep of roads and critical infrastructure in the area. This is a system that is aka known in the west as (home owner associations). In America HOA’s have a bad name but think in the case of Africa with the lawlessness of activities in the area, it would benefit there much better. It could bring a proper sewage system and storm ⛈️ drain system. It would keep the roads clean and unwanted animals and people from roaming around. At that point the properties will be worth the asking prices.
I was disappointed the first time I went to East legon. Not sure what the fuss is about. The road infrastructure, drainage and everything else is bad like most places in Ghana. It's hype.
How much pillar’s am very impressed about ur details just started my too and requested the engineer to carry out same steps for me he said I know too much but all thanks to you.
Nice, l have learn one new thing today to carry with me when l start my project in the future and it's regarding casting the pillars first before the block work, am glad you answered that question, since my project will be a 3 storey so it's extremely important for me to do it this way regardless of how much it cost. Thanks Bruh.
What @EKO-A said is correct erecting the pillars before the blockwork is done ensures the pillars actually carry the load of the building and not the blocks.
Please when building a fence wall of a 70x100, how much of the 6inches blocks for foundation do you need and How many of the 5 inches would you need for a full fence

Watching from USA and building my house in South Africa and sharing my journey too! Awesome job. OMG, my foundation was so costly, thanks to hiring people who weren't used to building city houses.
