We were your typical American family that got caught up in the rat race of life until we hit a wall one year and decided that there had to be a better way to live. We have been on a journey ever since learning as a family how to grow and raise our own food, serve our community, and be a more loving and compassionate family focused on growing closer to God. Our goal is to inspire and educate others to break free from any meaningless and unfulfilling routines of life and have the courage to chase your dreams. We hope you'll consider subscribing and joining us on this journey. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of any help and if you find yourself in central Alabama, give us a call and come on by! We love to share our successes and failures to help others find their way. "The measure of a farmer is not how much land he owns, but how he cares for what God has given him." -Steve Atchison
@@southofsanityfarms5752 Can relate. I do everything under my sister's LLC so people think a woman made the soap. It is what it is; just shut up and pay me.
This was by far our favorite birth on the farm. Be sure to hit the notification bell and watch out for our next video on our top 3 favorite births on the farm!
I sold 450 dozen every 2 weeks . I also made money on chicks , quail meat , quail sausage , quail jerky and more . None was online. Mainly word of mouth and standing orders from stores . My girl broke her back , so life had to change to help her . I shut down the quail business . It has been 8 years since I shutdown . I am just now am getting rid of the rest of the equipment .
I have found with the shoe box; I use a molded cups that go into the box. That helps and I put a 2 x 10 x 6 under the shoe box it is a little larger than the box so when they do eat what spills on the wood, they pick through it. It saves some from going throw the cage. Nice set up
I bought and made many hardly any worked like i hoped the last was a green no mess feeder but there was food everywhere. So i put clear pvc curtain over it with holes hopefully works
Hey there south of sanity farms. When testing my soaps such as playing around with ratios I use a mini cupcake holder and add different combos to each department then separate the mini soaps
@@jerryhicks8011 one end has boards that we can remove. Then we have a piece of wood that is roughly the shape of the interior that we put on a pole and push them to the other end. Without that it would be a pain to get them out to harvest.
Hi from Panama (C.A)!. Great tips... I have a hard time getting essential oils from Amazon and similar venues. If you could, please share your oils providers; I pay $8-$10 for just 2 oz here. Thanks.
@@mariellegarcia5401 check out wfmed.com and new direction aromatics.com. I shop between those 2 depending on who has the better price for the eo that I am buying. I buy my EO in the 33 oz aluminum container and then transfer it to my amber bottles when it arrives. If you can buy it in the larger sizes it will bring it down considerably. Thanks and good luck
You hit the nail on the head there, i never understand all the soap makers putting non dissolvable things on top that will clog the drain. Like coffee grounds, bees wax and glitter???
@@christinemclean9973 it's mostly all just for looks. But I have seen people out there that would rather buy a gimmicky looking soap over a quality soap. There's a market for both. I just prefer to make what I believe in.
@@erandeniherrera7811 I use a lye calculator to figure the exact amounts. There are several free ones out there that are easy to use. We have another soap making video that shares that info along with every brand product I use and who has the best prices along with a recipe.
Thanks brother for sharing your experience with Father…this messages seems very important in our fast past society. May God bless you for taking the time to share these truths!
Several factors went in to selecting these oils. It was a lot of trial and error finding a bar that cleans, lathers, moisturizes, and lasts a while. But also, what oils are more easily available and the cost of them factors in as well so that my prices can be competitive too.
I did make my own. I've had a few others mention the boxes. Nurturesoap.com sells boxes with their molds. If interested, I can do a video on how to build one. It's pretty simple.
Not sure what it is in grams but I use about 1 oz of essential oil per 25 oz of oils. And that varies based on different essential oils. We don't use any fragrance oils so not sure how much you would use of those.
God Bless You Brother... Just speak the word as it comes to you!!! It's not about you nor any of us, It's all about GOD... The Spirit draws them, even if & when they are combative!!! The battle is not with or against you, it is with & against those who God is drawing!!! Pray pray pray... God must bring the fruit... not us!!! We're just planters & waterers!!! It is GOD who gives the increase!!! Love them as you can, give them the pure milk of the WORD!!! The rest is all in GOD's hands!!! We're just his tools, like the story of Bamboo... Look it up!!!
I don't get scorched milk unless it gets over 130. Maybe even 140. How many batches have you made? Any chance your thermometer could be faulty? Some of my batches get a little soda ash on the tops but it just gives them a frosty look and after the first use it's gone so I don't worry about it. Wish I could be of more help.

I use a food grade lye from essential depot. I have been using their lye for a while and it has always been great. There is actually another video on our channel where I make some lavender goat milk soap and share every detail of where we purchase our materials. Hope you can check it out
Technically mares can reduces the size of the fetus to their anatomy, there were experiments made showing that you could breed a small horse mare with a big horse and the foal would at first be small enough for the mare to foal without problems and then the foal would grow as big as if you would breed a mare from the same big horse breed with a stallion from the same small horse breed.
