I know this is years later and probably won't ever be seen by anyone but I needed to stop by and say that this video and the rest on your channel make me so happy. My family owns 1952 PA-20 with almost this exact same color scheme and my formative years were spent crisscrossing the country in it with my father. Up until 2007 it was flown every weekend, to almost every airshow (camped out under the wing twice at Oshkosh), was a regular at the Short Wing Piper Association events and so on. My father had a massive stroke and was medically grounded for life and the Pacer still sits in her hangar to this day. I don't make enough to own/operate her as things were so much cheaper in my Dad's time and so she sits in her hangar gathering dust. I came across this video by accident and cried for a little bit as I thought it was our Pacer and somehow my father had recoded some of his flights from long ago. Grief/loss can make you see things that aren't really there and I soon realized it wasn't our girl but a close relative. I hope the beauty seen in these videos is still flying in 2023 and hopefully helping others make some good memories. Take care and have a good flight!
Nice looking Pacer! I subscribed!! What camera mount do you use on the exterior of your plane? I love the short-wings. My buddy has a Tri-Pacer that I've flown in many times. I've even got a few videos of it on my channel.
Reminds me of the dirt strip back in the 1960's at Marble Canyon. I used to haul those River Runner folks in there and take 'em out of the dirt at Pierce's Ferry. Couple of hundred over gross.
Holy cow...THAT's a remote strip. No margins for errors there. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BOWVHfVSoB4.html is my shortest field landing, 28M in Massachusetts. Where is Dirty Devil?
Nice flying! I want to buy a Pacer,. Looks like a good bang for the buck. Can you tell me what mods if any have been done to yours? Engine, wheels, VGs, PA-18 tail feathers?
