My husband grew up there and he thinks the picture of you sitting in the wagon with the little boy is him. His name is Lance. He remembers going to a girls house all the time, upstairs, that could have been your grandparents. Anyway, if you remember if it could be him or not. His grandmother worked at the phone company also, Catherine Plummer, they owned Plummer's Court and built a duplex next door to it.
From St Lucia West Indies 🇱🇨 As kids my sister and I would travel to neighbouring islands for school hols .A variety of boats were usedto carry passengers I remember a very pleasant trip to St Vincent on “ Potomac” We sat on the seats of the stern chatting sit fellow passengers from Barbados,and watched the moonlight on the water My dad had said it was “ President Roosevelt’s yacht” but at the time (?9-10yeats) that meant nothing Many ,many years later as an adult I’d boast about having travelled on the “ prrsidential yacht “ It was a nice looking boat and came into port Castries on a tegular basis .

I suppose I could be called "the Second lady of watercolor" , since I too have been painting Newport Beach / Balboa Island all of my life. And yes, I took from the master artist Rex Brandt also. This Red 1959 Invader Ski-Jet U-boat built in Texas. Was found in Ontario in 2021. The data plate is as discovered. The WildGoose II. Is this the U-Boat Speed Boat Once attached to The Wild Then converted Wild Goose owned by Max Wyman and John Wayne? On my face book profile we show you the proof in the Dash board data plate. This could be the U-Boat Captain Bert Minshall speaks off when many died passing shark infested waters. I too was a Masterbaiter then deckhand on the Island Holiday at Davey's Locker/ Balboa Pavilion back in the 60's. OC coast was a nice place back in the day. Now its just a huge, over rated parking lot.
