I agree. Pinaka is very fast, but tends to run out of energy very quick if you are not careful. Probably for the best though, to somewhat balance it haha
I believe those are ammo for the turrets around sky raider, that can shoot down missiles. I am not entirely sure, but I am assuming that is what those are
@firespykegames I agree. I do feel the nerfs, but it's the overall design of his kit that makes it so good. Pinaka counters 2 specific things, which are very strong in the game currently. Melee and Heavy units. The nature of his walls being able to do melee damage from range, and also having multiple things to stop melee is insane. I think the only proper way to nerf him is to change the walls to 2 charges for melee damage, or change them to ballistic damage. Mostly just some ideas I had about it
For sure. The nerfs will hurt it a little, but I still don't see this unit being weak. You will have to manage your resources a little bit better, but overall I still think it will be very strong
Huh I never really thought about the similarities between Stego and Falcon before you pointed it out. It's funny how Stego has cloaking and Falcon has the anti-cloaking ability too. 9:10 RIP that poor Hurricane lol
You know, I never really thought about the cloaking aspect between Falcon and Stego. I was mo4e thinking of the offensive options. Curious to know if Falcon scan would reveal Stego That hurricane received a very special treatment from the team
Sad I didn't have time to try this out. Unfortunately the timing just wasn't good with Elden Ring's release and other stuff. It looks really fun though.
4:25 I didn't know you could get in/out of the bunker through that spot lol. That's actually really good for Skyraider and Falcon cause they don't have to wait at the doors and be sitting ducks. I think you're probably better with Skyraider than you give yourself credit for. This particular match was rough because our snipers weren't really focusing the enemy Skyraider so him and the Narukami were teaming up on you a lot.
Watched all your mech showcases, watched this one like 3 times. Already pretty sure this will be my mech of choice. And after watching like 9 hours of gameplay of this game, it feels like dropping from flight mode for quick maneuvers is an intentional design decision. Wouldn't be surprised if they make the cooldown on the switch longer.
I feel like Falcon's speed is the emphasis on the unit, so they probably won't change it. Its also my favorite part of this unit's kit and design, so I pray they at least keep the mobility it currently has
There is so much potential for cool characters they can add to this game! A really cool idea I already have is a lightweight striker like the falcon but sticks to the ground and has wheels on its heels. Activating them to "transform" and skate along the field at high speeds, but doesn't deal crazy damage like the falcon, making it more suited to being a harasser and quick repositioning for ambushes or hit-and-run tactics! It would have dual smgs for a primary and dual daggers as a secondary, and has a kick-flip attack that propels you forward a short distance before doing the kick, and if you collide with an enemy, you knock them back (and briefly stunning) while also pushing you away from them.
That's a cool idea, but I think it'd be very difficult to use, since most of the map I've seen in this CBT don't have a wide land area, also there's a lot of multiple levels. Of course your idea is wicked, but I think not many will choose this striker. Very intriguing tho, I'm also looking forward for this striker. Very unique!!
@@BaronWuffet Certainly it'll have maps it's good on and maps you would want to avoid using it, but the same can also be said for the snipers and falcon/skyraider. Either way, I have no doubt that any future strikers the devs cook up will be incredibly fun to play as all the ones they've currently made already are so much fun to watch.
I had a feeling a Panther video was coming soon haha. These types of characters usually aren't my style but what I did play of Panther was still pretty fun. Next time I get my hands on the game I'll have to try them out some more.
Usually, I play a support/healer role in games like this, but recently, I've been craving to play heavy hitter roles like Tanks in OW or paladins. However, those games are just more frustrating than fun, and I don't really feel big and powerful. From the little I've seen on Tricera and Welkin, they are most certainly the heavy hitters I've been craving! Though I honestly want to play them all!
@codey90210 Tricera a strong heavy hitter, at least it felt like it. It was like a mobile fortress. If you want you presence to be known, a tricera will always be heard lol
Interesting that you mention the downward slam melee attacks seem to be unparriable. I did use it a few times against Triceras and I think it did land the hit even when they just put up their shields. Also regarding the sniper rounds partially piercing shield: I think Skyraider's charge shot also has the same properties.
Does every suit have a mobility mode? It seems crazy to be able to cross the map in a few seconds with falcon if the others have to saunter across slowly.
They do not. As far as I can tell when I tested, Falcon is one of the squishiest units that I had tried. The mobility is more of a trade of the the lack of defensive capabilities and to fulfill it's playstyle as a quick burst unit
Looks very much like Gundamn wing, It may be super smart for the game to have a lot of space maps and void combat. Spaceships, mechs, spacestations, landing on them or asteroids, that sorta sim stuff.
Unsure at the moment. From the test, there were options to allow for customization on the weapon parts, but no options available. It might be a consideration for them, but nothing has been confirmed on that end
