100% agree, the box art really look underwhelming, this was my exact thought when i first saw it. So i only bought 2 boxes because i percieved them as very Low Value, barely worth the money, too few wall sections as usual, etc. But now that you are showing them i'm kinda intrigued. I will let my 2 boxes arrive first and have a look, then i'll make a judgement if it's worth buying more or not (probably not).
@PerfectionHunter I'm about half way through painting them and am very pleased. Would anyone need more than 2 boxes though unless they want a completely distressed board. They have great detail but are more for favour and add character then functional. Still they are pretty cool
@Lord_of_Beard I must say I love your account name. Yes it's a wonderful kit. I certainly will be getting more. Do you already have some Necromunda terrain?
@tabletopdan3473 I love warcry and I know a lot of people that have it locally. May have to bring it back to the channel. Also tempted by a few of the new gangs
Super late to the party - but for the pipe connecttion - Necromunda has those smaller pipe joins which kind of fit on the wall section and then allow you to match a pipe up
@@HouseOfChaosUK 🤣 sounds about the same ratio!! I do a bit of 40k and it's the exact opposite! Mdf rectangles and get a mortgage for your armies!! Still necromunda looks so much better when it's done.. Its kind of worth it!
@fluffcrunchmini4572 lol that's the same for me too. I've collected Blood angels since the end of 2nd edition and picked up some other armies on the way. What armies do you play/collect
Wooooo Middles-Earth! A fantastic video, very useful. Watching this while painting my knights of Minas Tirith and fear I may be having to replace some spears.
@@HouseOfChaosUK Yeah! I am test building and photo-documenting beginner friendly GSC character conversions using mostly spare parts from the battleline boxes. It will be a series of guides eventually.
@@HouseOfChaosUK yeah I have them built and will be priming them in the next few days, only just starting out learning and I had not even thought about using the air brush but watch your clip it seems very forgiving and quicker then using the brush. So it’s changed my plans from priming red and going from their to priming black and trying it out as git to learn and best way to learn is to do
@MadM0nty42 100%. The airbrush is so much quicker and you will be surprised how smooth is it. Blood Angels as well? I would live to see them if you wanted to share them on our Facebook page (House of Chaos community)
@@HouseOfChaosUK yup BA as well. Happy to share but my skill so far is about a dozen models painted in my entire life and with contrast to get understanding of how to paint
@MadM0nty42 that's great. I wish there was so many tutorials around when I 1st started. I'm sure you will master the airbrush and come on leaps and bounds. Feel free to ask more questions anytime
They each have the special rule... Runaway: Should a fighter with this special rule ever be taken Captive and Sold to the Guilders, the gang that sells them is awarded an extra D6x10 credits. I hope this helps
@niklasjiru7775 it really is a very rich game. Hobby wise it's great for converting and actually playing....well let's just say things never go to plan lol, and that always makes for great stories for years to come
The mustache on the winged mutant has its own confirmed kills! Excellent work, can't wait to see what else you do! What chaos god is your gang dedicated to?
Lol quite possibly. They follow Tzeentch, ignoring terrain once per round is very different from my pervious play style. I would have normally gone with more of a melee themed gang like khorne. I've played blood angels, world eaters and nids in 40k
Nah Goliaths can biff it just like every other gang. The real thing thats op is your lack of catch up mechanics in a game prone to campaign snowball effect. You got to treat a necromunda Campaign like Mario kart race. Gangs in the lead get boring bananas and single green shells, and the people in the back get stuff thats much more juicey. Only the Arbiter is to blame if a gang gets a disgusting lead. After all the players are supposed to want to grow their gang.
Not so keen on “arbitrator is to blame” 😉 We were rather “rules and less balancing” in the last campaign. We do have plans for more reeling in of things this time round. The one thing that’s on the verge of a beat bat is psionics
T5 is very strong. But no plasma guns in the starting list and limiting access to shooting skills isn't the greatest. Is say Goliaths are top 3. First is either CC Cult or VaanSaar depending, then Goliath. Honorable mention to jump pack spam demolition charges and overseer Orlock gangs. Also infiltrating genestealer cultists with demolition charges.
Definitely. Those pesky familiars are a pain but I know why they have them and bs 2 van saar are ace. But a good GM really helps to reduce people from becoming "that guy". Necromunda is so random, and that's the way I like it. I've personally seen more juves with a pistol take down big targets like an ambot than crazy weapons like missile launchers and that's what makes for a good war story. The end of the day as long as both parties can have a laugh. Do you have any crazy necromunda war stories?
When I run a campaign I limit the amount of games in a cycle. That way it's slightly more fair on credit generation. Also we use the underdog rules from the new rulebook to try limit runaway gangs. Then I often, as the arbitrator allow gangs that are falling behind to get buffs....like rolling on house charts and free brutes.
Yeah we were using the new underdog rules but free brutes etc sound interesting. The underdog come into effect pretty much every game as you can imagine even if I had less models. Thankfully it was still fun for all players
We had limited number of players it was pretty hard to get everyone laying fairly equal. Now we have 9 people playing, we can better moderate this. But then again, it’s Necromunda and the s#!+ will likely hit the fan
@@HouseOfChaosUK I just started back in the Bobby after years out. Have put together a delaque gang and want to start arbitrating a campaign. But that means scum! I also just want to kit bash some gangs after seeing how amazing the community is but don't have the experience so your video was great to see things as bits of kits turned into boys with toys!
