Sorry but curl pattern does matter. There is a huge difference between 4c and 2a hair. Please be realistic. Yes porosity should be taken into consideration but the porosity is often a result of chemicals - color, straightening products. It doesn’t make sense to pretend that you can just randomly choose a curl pattern and treat your hair accordingly. You will ruin your hair that way. Curl typing has freed me and taught me so much about my hair’s 3 curl patterns. Now I can achieve a more uniform look.
oh my gosh! yes I need this. I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan our water is so hard even though we is only 45 minutes from Lake Michigan one of our great lakes. I just subscribed to your channel. Thanks for the information.
Blanket statements of ANY kind are subjective. You can “say it.” Doesn’t make it a truth. And why would you post such a statement without qualifying your comment? 🤯 Hair extensions/toppers etc? THEY started the ish, and it wasn’t because they all had Crystal Gayle’s hair? “We have to learn to speak differently about our hair” These are YOUR words. So then🤔 Pick a side!🤯
Does the collegen smell bad? I bought collegen a few months ago and it smells so awful that I can't use it. I've tried masking the smell by putting it in juice but it still smells and taste like death🤢
Hi Keziah! I like both! Beautiful 😍 I would love to get the free copy of your book. I did not see a link to get it free in the bio. Could you please send me the link?

Comparing my twist-or to my wash-n-dry method on my #naturalhair #curlyhair I originally stayed away from twists outs because I couldn’t get it to look right but recently I’ve been wearing them a lot more, since I’ve perfected it and now it looks more “natural.” Which one do you prefer, comment below! Twist-out details: add same styling products in hair, wear my frizz reducing turban drying towel by @swirlycurlyhair (not pictured) to sleep and dry with my @swirlycurlyhair blow dryer for less than 10 minutes in the morning. Wash n Dry details: ya girl coined the phrase “wash n dry” method if your scratching your head or haven’t heard of it. Basically instead of a full wash n go, we dry our hair so that we’re not waiting foreverrrr to have wearable hair. Blow dry hair in sections with same blow dryer from @swirlycurlyhair takes about 20 minutes. Everything is done on the same day as wash day. Oils do not make your hair grow your hair automatically, grows about three inches each month.oils Keep moisture in your hair when put it on damp hair eating healty make your hair heslty nothing you put on your is going make your hair grow any faster than nature intended shame on you you should know better
I agree that a lot of products just add weight to the hair. I have 4a hair and I need water-based or light weight products that won't weigh my hair down or cause major frizz. Thank you for this information!!
I recently found out that my 2 yr old and I have low porosity hair. I'm doing great with hers but mine is just not growing. I guess because my hair is short (4-5") it doesn't take long to dry same for my daughter but she has long hair (14-16")
Snappees are MY LIFE! Never a broken strand and all types of puffs buns updos etc. I’m getting in on this because I want those colors! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ thank you Keziah and SwirlyCurly!!!🎉🎉🎉Happy Tenth Anniversary🎉🎉🎉 of making natural hair EASY❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have wavy caucasian hair and don't laugh but I actually use a little Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion on my hair, and that worked like nothing ever did. I figured it works so well on my dry skin, why not hair, right? Only problem is it does tend to build up so I have to use a clarifing product to get it out (castille soap works well). You have to use it sparingly.
Hey so I was just wondering, ever since I cut of my dreads my hair has been really dry like really dry. I have really curly type hair but I can’t like get a feel if it’s low or high pros because of how it is sometimes, in the shower it absorbs SOME of the water but once I get out it’s gone. But like if somebody pours water on my head it just slides off my head? Any tips
All a person has to do while in the shower after shampoo and conditione rinse put in a lot of leave in conditioner wet hair shake head vigorously soak up excess water with a towel font rub and thair you have it natural curls sit under a hooded dryer or defuse
Thanks for this great information I am 57 about to turn 58 in August and I was wanting to stop wearing the crochet styles and wear my own hair my hair is pretty fine I've been natural for about 3 and 1/2 years but I've always wore protective styles so I'm going to try this thanks so much for all the info
Can you demonstrate a wash n dry or a wash n go? I have fine natural low density hair and I want to grow it but I believe using protective styles will just thin it out more. Do you still believe these 3 styles are the way to go just curious because I just found you and the video is a year old so I am asking if the 3 styles still stand true for you. Thank you for the videos
I find that when I spray water in my hair, it activates the product I put in previously and I just reapply what’s already in it. Now if it’s very little product, I’ll add just a little product for slip.
Honestly... I'm so depressed about my hair, my hair used to be so beautiful and then did to stress and health issues (at least I think) I've had nothing but issues for about a decade.. I started noticing issues in 2017 so I did my first big chop... Before that my hair was "healthy" mid back, beautiful curl and color but I was losing clumps per day... I then followed this by going completely bald. I think this was a big mistake as since then, I have only been able to grow my hair to my shoulders ... Barely... And it's even MORE fine and delicate than previous. I've been wearing wigs since 2018 due to utter embarrassment No matter what I do, I can't prevent the breakage - I sleep on silk, I use silk scrunchies, I only brush a few times per week, I condition every day, I use ZERO products (since I'm in wigs) and I do a castor oil treatment once a week. My nutrition is on point, I take collagen, and many other supplements... Nothing works. My hair feels like silk itself... Its SO soft, SO fine, SO delicate. Actually... When I comb about half of what comes out is knotted hair at about the center of the shaft .. and then the rest is beautiful curl... So I'll lose an entire lengths of curl... Due to knotting. Any help would be appreciated... I can't keep living like this.
